There are two sides to every story. We did have a faulty key ignition switch and while we were waiting on the mechanic and trying to troubleshoot it the client went to the marina booking office and asked to get another boat. Never told us. The booking agent called me and said they could get another boat but it would be at least 45 minutes. Did I need to cancel. I told her no the Machanic was there and we would be running way before the other boat would be ready. He fixed the problem and the rest of the clients were there and ready to go. They called him to come get on the boat but he refused and said y’all go and even gave the tip money to his son. We ran the trip, everyone had a great time and we gave them the extra hour for leaving late. As a Captain of 47 years I handled the situation as best and quickly as possible.Then when we returned to the dock the disgruntled client would not pay for the service.
