- Background
- I’ve spent years fishing the waters around Clearwater and the surrounding Gulf Coast, learning the seasonal patterns and how the tides, weather, and bait movements affect where the fish are. What started as a passion for fishing eventually turned into running charters and sharing these waters with others. I specialize in both inshore and nearshore fishing around Clearwater Beach and the nearby Gulf waters, targeting a variety of species depending on the time of year. Every trip is different, and I enjoy figuring out the best way to put clients on fish each day. One of the best parts of running charters is seeing people experience these fisheries for the first time—whether it’s someone catching their first fish, a family enjoying a day on the water together, or an experienced angler landing a species they’ve been hoping to catch. My goal on every trip is simple: work hard, put you on fish, and make sure everyone has a great time out on the water
- Techniques
- Most trips focus on light tackle fishing using live bait or artificial lures depending on the conditions. Inshore, we often fish mangroves, flats, and bridges using live bait or casting artificial lures. When heading nearshore into the Gulf of Mexico, we may switch to bottom fishing reefs and hard bottom for snapper and other species, or trolling for king and Spanish mackerel when they’re running.
