My family and I booked Long Gone 3 Charters to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Even with the wave swells generating 3, and the occasional 4 foot wave, Captain Jim kept us safe and on the fish for the entire duration of the charter. We did a 5-hour afternoon trip to celebrate Father’s Day (a week delayed), and had a fantastic time fishing in Lake Michigan with Captain James.  Using his knowledge of the local waters and real time updates from his network of boats on the water, Captain Jim kept us on the fish, with the right bait, at the right depth & presentation most of the day.  We landed many nice-sized Coho.  It was a great afternoon on the water, with a friendly & fun atmosphere on a boat well suited for... Captain James is a skilled fishing guide as well a gem of a human being. He is incredibly kind, respectful, and knowledgable (with a healthy dose of classic fishing humor) and facilitated a fishing experience beyond our wildest dreams. We caught so many coho salmon and lake trout (as well as a nice king salmon!) that we had to run and buy bigger coolers immediately after the trip. Excellent experience with Capt Jim on Long Gone out of Waukegan marina! He was easy to work with and helpful before and during our charter. He has great relationships with other captains so we knew where to go to get our full catch. Top service from Capt including good gear and guidance throughout our time. Highly recommend! For reference, our group included an experienced fisher, an 8th grader who loves to fish and a very inexperienced fisher. Great time had by all!

Captain Jimmy was awesome! He was great with myself ( an inexperienced fisherman) and my 11 year old Grandson. It was a beautiful day to be alive! The experience to spend time fishing with my grandson & catch a lot of fish was amazing! Jimmy told us what to do & following his instructions helped us have a successful day!
