Capt Tom has been fishing all his life with his dad and grandfather on all bodies of water, but Lake Michigan was a staple for his fathers. Tom fished professionally for muskies for several years and then he started concentrating on teaching and taking out friends and family to enjoy what he has learned and grown to love. Capt Tom runs trips out of Winthrop Harbor aboard 22' Vexus Dual console. This area is known for Salmon, Coho Salmon and Lake Trout and you'll get to catch them using trolling, or other techniques. He also guides on inland lakes for multi species specializing in muskie. The only way to learn is to join them on the water.

    Awesome fishing guide!

    4 Hour Lake Geneva (Multi-species) - 3:00 PM • 2 adults

    Tom Stygar was the epitome of a professional fishing guide. We were celebrating out 60th wedding anniversay and he brings me flowers and a card! We are in our mid-eighties and he made getting in and out of the boat easy! Because of the extreme heat, he suggested we moved the time back several hours which was a blessing. Tom had patience teaching me to use a rod and reel. And, yes, we caught fish. Everyone should experience this guide!

    Captain Tom was as wholesome as they come. The chill vibes coming from his soul were the same chill vibes we felt out on the water all afternoon. The experience was truly incredible, and one that we’ll remember for many years to come. Would definitely recommend Tom for any group looking for a good time & helpful tool / source of information when it comes to any of your fishing needs or desires. God bless our Veteran’s - such as Tom !!

    Captain Tom was great!

    6 Hour Lake Geneva (Bass) 1230 • 3 adults

    We met Captain Tom at the pier and got right to it. fishing was slow, but we knew conditions (time of year, weather, etc) were far from ideal. Even with a slow start, Captain Tom worked tirelessly to try and get us in the fish. Service was excellent as he had plenty of gear setup for us to use. He made suggestions on lures/methods, and showed us nimerous hot spots on the lake. We did finish strong with some nice action to end the day. Honestly - that was just a nice bonus. We had already decided that we would be reaching out to him for future outings. Great guy, great experience!

    We had so much fun!

    Me and my 3 grandkids had a blast with Captain Tom. This was our first time on a fishing charter. Captain Tom was so helpful and he taught the kids how to fish and was so encouraging! We were pulling in fish left and right. we caught about 40 fish!! It was a great experience and we will be making reservations with Captain Tom again. We took lots of pictures and left with great memories and excitment for our next trip.

    Fun and relaxed

    Tom was a pleasure to spend time with. I am a relative novice, and he showed great patience and did a good job educating me. My son-in-law is a good fisherman, and Tom was able to show him a few tricks. This is a strong recommendation. And we caught a lot of fish.
