I began fishing at the age of 4. My parents were avid anglers and took me to the water every day during the summer months. My older sister also took me fishing, as I was a total addict. I have always had an appreciation for the experience of fishing and being there either alone or with people I wish to share my passion with. I have fished this area for 48 years and it has been a pure joy because you never know what is going to swim up to you. I would love to share my experience and help you make some memories with your family and friends. I always strive to treat each trip as though I were taking my friends and family fishing.

    6 Hour Trip –Trolling/Bottom Summer • 8 adults • 2 children

    Took a 6 hour trip with chidren and grandchildren. Made a lot of great memories and caught over 50 fish between 7 anglers. captain Black and our deckhand Mica worked really hard to make this a successful trip. We are returning in in the spring. Had the fish cleaned at the dock and a great meal with family that evening. Nothing better than fish that has never been frozen.

    Great Trip!!!

    6 Hour Trip –Trolling/Bottom Summer - 11:30 AM • 7 adults

    We had a great time on our six hour bottom fishing! We caught some mahi-mahi, grouper, snapper, and a few other types of fish. The captain did a great job of moving on to find another place if the fish weren’t biting fast enough. our deck hand was Hayden and he did an awesome job keeping our lines baited, and and capturing our fish! Would definitely recommend Captain Black!

    4 Hour Trip – Trolling Summer • 4 adults • 1 child

    Great experience! It was our first time trolling, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Hayden made it easy from start to finish. He had us set up and catching fish in no time, and we ended up reeling in plenty! He was knowledgeable, patient, and made the trip a lot of fun. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great day on the water!

    6 Hour Trip –Trolling/Bottom Summer - 11:30 AM • 2 adults

    Captain was determined to put our group on the fish and he did. The deckhand was a stand in and even thought he was just 18 yrs old, Carter was a hard working deck uand and was knowledgeable. Very great trip! Will book a longer trip the next time with this Captain!

What's biting with Captain Black's Fishing – Captain Black in Panama City Beach

It's hard to resist the last bite of Red Snapper on weekends, but there's much more to fishing. Make the most of the last of the offshore season to land Mahi and Grouper, while Flounder is the flavor of the month inshore.

Fall Fishing Fun

Sep 4, 2026 • Panama City Beach
The summer bite was a little slower than we are used, but the fall bite seems to be pretty good. We have had some nice catches and there are lots of fish available to fish for. Get a time slot and come fishing with us. We can handle up to twenty passengers and more people helps keep the bite going.

Big Wahoo on High Speeder!

The morning 10 hr started the day off in spectacular fashon boating this 67.2 lb Wahoo! Shortly after we boated a nice Mahi Mahi. The 10hr has always been one of my favorite trips!

Spring Fishing is Great!

Spanish mackerel have showed up in good numbers on our 4 hour trips making this a very popular choice for those wanting to be in calm waters. Our 6-12 hour trips are producing nice catches.
