Captain Black was born just a few hundred feet from the water and he has remained close or on the water for most of his lifetime. An early love for fishing was cultivated from parents and family that fished often. Those early experiences translated into an absolute love of fishing.

A day of fishing begins long before your scheduled trip with the Captain and crew preparing the vessel for your trip. At Captain Blacks Fishing we are aware that each trip may be your only trip of the year or a lifetime. Maybe this is your first trip and have never experienced the thrill of a deep sea fishing trip. We want to make it special and have you visit us every year you vacation on Panama City Beach.

Our business has been built on families and kids. Before we reach our first stop the deckhand will conduct fish school to show you the techniques we will be using and also provide coaching to help your trip be a total success.

Your vessel for the day is a 53' Harkers Island Sportfisher. This large comfortable boat has a large air conditioned and heated salon with seating and bunks below. There is a full galley with running water so you can prepare your meals and snacks while fishing. There are also two restrooms and a shower onboard.

We provide dead bait, rods and reels and terminal tackle as well as specialized high speed reels. Live bait is available for purchase.

Trips are run with the help of a Deck Hand. Deck hands work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray) Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation. Safety is paramount on our vessels.
