  Best crew ever, owner bit greedy

  the captain has a sixth sense on where to find fish. and Omar, the deckhand is simply the best. The owner, not the boat crew, we felt is a little to greedy. Where other charters prices were the sae prce, they were all inclusive (food, drink, food, bait) he charged for everything. (box lunch $25, bait $50 for 10 live bait and we only 8 plus dead bait, etc) after all that, we had to pay a dock fee. yes, only a buck apiece but by that time, it felt over the top. Again, the crew (who are part of the paying process) and experience was almost worth the frustration. yes, the post did say it to bring your own food and drink. And it did say they only troll. What they didn't say was how much extra they would gouge you for te food and bait and hidde fees. Extra hint for first timers in Cabo, you could just troll, but you will be more successful with ballyhoo rigged trolls and live bait.

  So sorry to hear that, but in case you don’t know we are paying a 30% fee to the site for renting us. On the other hand, you are not obliged to buy drinks or food from us, is totally optional, furthermore the description of the trip clearly states what is not included in price.   Wonderful first time going after big fish!

  Full Day Trip on August 2, 2026 • 3 adults

  My 18-year-old son, 21-year-old daughter and I had a great experience on El Budster yesterday. First and foremost, Crew Tony and Captain Luis worked their tails off for us. Luis asked what we were hoping to catch, and warned me that my hoped-for tuna weren’t running in large numbers in early August. I was ready for it to be fishing and not catching, but with 5 lines running almost all the time Tony was able to hook us a 74”sailfish and a 68 lb tuna and woth his coaching my kids and i landed them. We released the sailfish and brought the tuna to Griselda’s for processing and packing so we can bring it home. The pre-trip communication was very clear, amd we chose to accept their offer of bagged lunches and waters for extra $. They will help you get fishing licenses if you need them — be sure to also have them with you at the airport if you will take fish home. The licenses cost extra and I needed cash for live bait and extra ice since we were going after tuna, which were further out. Thank you, Tony and Luis, for a great introduction to sportfishing!

  One of the best fishing experiences i ever had.

  Captain Luis, and deck hand Izzy, were amazing! They put us on fish and were extremely helpful with selection of Tackle, bait, or Rod to use for the species we were going after. They knew what they were doing. The only thing I would complain about is that there was no ice chest or ice pack to store the fish once they were caught. Additionally, once the trip was over, I wanted to tip out the captain and the deckhand, but I did not have enough money in cash to give a proper tip. With that said I had to take out money from ATM which ended up charging me over $50 to retrieve money to give them a proper tip of which, was less because of that charge. I wish there was a way we could tip out the crew once we got back directly to them via a card charge. Besides that, it was a great experience. Me and my son and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Again, the boat needs to have an actual kill fish bag or a large cooler to store the fish once they're caught with ice, and there should be a way to be able to get charged via a card at the end of the trip regarding a tip to the captain and deckhand for their services. These two on this boat work extremely hard and deserve to be compensated as such.

  HUGE Wahoo!

  unfortunately due to hurricane port was closed for our original AM half day trip on wednesday, we rescheduled for monday PM (as this was what was available) and went out with El Budster Pride and came back with a massive wahoo! always a good time with el budster charters this is our 5th trip with them and we always catch fish and have a fantastic time.

  From Sea Sick to Sick Catch!!

  Half Day Charter (AM) on August 30, 2026 • 2 adults

  Absolute Pros.From the pre trip communication, ease of understanding costs (included and not), and expert captain and first mate in skills and effort. My best friend was sea sick for most the trip and they did everything in their power to get us fish. We landed two keeper Dorado and couldn't be more pleased. For all the uncertainty a place like Cabo can have El Budster Crew were solid. Would recommend to anyone! (and did as we walked our catch up the dock to the restaurant to have it prepared)
