We had an awesome trip on the El Budster Pride with Captain Luis and first mate Ismael—this was our second trip with this crew, and they did not disappoint.

We started the day targeting yellowfin tuna. My son caught the first fish of the day, a bonita, and was fired up. My wife then landed the first and only yellowfin of the trip, which we estimated at 50–60 pounds.

After that, we headed in closer to shore to fish for striped marlin off the reef, and it was incredible. As soon as we arrived, marlin were everywhere. We hooked five, brought three to the boat, and should have had a fourth if another boat hadn’t accidentally cut us off.

Captain Luis and Ismael are dedicated, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. Their energy and knowledge made the trip even better.

We highly recommend this crew and can’t wait to come back again.

My dad has always talked about deep sea fishing and so we finally took him. It was an amazing time, the staff catered to us and asked us what beer, food, and drinks we wanted on the boat before the excursion so they had it on hand (charged for the price of the items). We set out at 12, we saw 4 marlin total and caught and released 2. Saw dolphins and turtles as well and you see the arch mid day and at sunset (fall months). The staff was patient and even took out the marlin safely to let us hold for pics before releasing. This was really nice of them because the marlin were adult size and very heavy. Would do again.

We had a really cool time on the El Budster Charter – it’s a family-run business, which made it feel nice and chill. Captain Luis is super experienced and got us on a big Wahoo right in the first hour. The Shimano reels and gear were solid, made it easy to reel in the fish without any hassle. Captain Salvador was awesome with talking to us and even helped sort out a weekly fishing license super quick.

Capt Luis was chatting with other boats and got us right into the tuna spot where birds and dolphins were going crazy on the baitfish. We caught a couple decent yellowfin tuna and some bonita – it was fun watching the tuna jump out of the water chasing stuff. Had a great day fishing with my 9-year-old boy, it’s good for kids. Totally recommend it!

This boat and their office is 3 minutes from the cruise ship tender dock and is very clearly signed!  Public restrooms are right next door.  The Captain, mate and boat were ready to go, picking up baitfish from a small boat on the way out of the harbor.  Within an hour Capt Francesco guided us to a 9 foot Black Marlin that went aerial b4 landing in the boat!  While 1st mate Omar expertly prepped another baitfish we landed a nice Mahi-Mahi b4 chasing tuna with all the other boats.  Leaving the other boats behind, Capt put us on another Marlin and after a half hour and numerous leaps the 10 foot Striped Marlin was at the boat🎣  After a few quick pictures it was released as we’d all agreed.  My wife and I are experienced fishermen around the globe and this was absolutely fantastic.  After getting skunked at Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan we were very happy to fish with these new friends!  We’re already planning our return to fish with them for big Tuna.  Many Thanks To you all 🎣

My wife and I did an afternoon 5 hour trip. Had a Bonita in about 5 minutes after the poles were set. It got a little quiet after that for a couple hours. And then we hit! Landed 3 striped marlin in the next couple of hours. Seas were very rough since a storm had just passed through the area the week before. So 6-8 feet seas all day. Each fish took about 15 to 20 minutes to get tonthe boat. The smallest was 93 inches tonthe largest which was 98 inches! All were over 100 pounds! One of the greatest experiences of this old man’s life! Crew was awesome and all about the fishing. Clearly experienced at their craft. WHEN we go back to Cabo we will definitely use the same place again! Don’t shop around, this is your boat! Enjoy
