- My grandfather was the legendary Abe Chavez who pioneered fly fishing on the San Juan river in New Mexico. My family has been in the fishing industry for over 60 years. I grew up fly fishing the San Juan and know the river intimately. I have over 25 years experience personally fishing to these trout on this river.
- Techniques
- Generally nymph fishing is the most reliable technique with some good opportunities to fish dry flys in between. A variety of streamer patterns also effectively catch fish.
