I am not a fisherman. Every time I attempt fishing, I usually leave after catching very few fish, if any. I love doing it. But I am very uneducated when it comes to the sport. That being said, our Captain Anthony was the best. He made the trip so much fun for us. He knew exactly where to go and when. He was so helpful with our three teen boys. We caught 22 fish, one shark, and a sting ray! On the way back to the marina, Anthony slowed down for us to watch dolphins swimming. It was amazing. 10/10. I would definitely recommend his services if you are planning a trip to St Augustine. The boat was perfect as well. It has plenty of seating and is spotless. It was well equipped for our five person fishing excursion. Don’t go on a dolphin tour. Take the fishing trip with Anthony. You will not only catch fish, but he will make the most of your time on the water.

My son is autistic and obsessed with the ocean and fishing, so I booked this trip with Rod Benders Fishing Charters during our stay in St. Augustine to help him experience both together. Captain Anthony was incredible. He was patient, knowledgeable, and so kind to my son and the rest of our group on board. He taught my son several fishing techniques and important safety tips that he can use back home.

We caught so many different types of fish, and he even took us to see dolphins, which ended up being my favorite part of the trip! Afterward, Anthony showed my son how to properly fillet the fish we kept so we could take them back to our condo and cook them together.

My entire family was so impressed by Captain Anthony’s professionalism and knowledge throughout the trip. We will be booking with this company again the next time we visit St. Augustine!

First in-shore fishing trip.  Took our 9 year old son out and wanted him to have an amazing experience and this Captain, Anthony, delivered exactly that!  He was so great throughout the entire trip.  He was nothing short of perfect. He was completely all about making sure our day was nothing but the best!  He was so awesome with our 9 year old son, so knowledgeable about the area, the fish species and everything that had to do about making our day a great one.  Captain Anthony, at Rod Bender Fishing LLC, is who you want to charter your next fishing trip, hands down.  Next time we come to St. Augustine, he will be the one we’ll be calling.

My 13 and 16 year old sons and I took a trip to St. Augustine’s from Maryland to celebrate my birthday. We planned a trip with Captain Anthony, and it was nothing short of perfect. We caught a variety of fish, and threw back at least twice as many as we kept. Captain Anthony knows where to find the fish, and will put you on the types of fish that you are looking for. From his boat, his knowledge, his patience, and flexibility, I could not offer a higher recommendation for Captain Anthony and his fishing experience.

WhenI say best ever,I have had many. I got on guided fishing trips 4-5 times a year. Anthony, the captain, was alone for this. I took my grandchildren on their first fishing boat trip and expected to be the one to encourage and help them but Anthony made it mission to be sure they left the boat excited about fishing and dying to come back and he did just that. I cannot say enough good things about our charter.
