Our fishing trip with Owen on the Potomac could not have been better!!!  We left Georgetown right on time and he expertly guided us to various fishing spots.  He is friendly, and is very knowledgeable about not only fishing but also about the history of the area. 

The boat was safe and clean, and Owen was able to handle all of the fishing rigging, tackle, etc… with ease.

More importantly, we caught very large fish, including a huge 42 lbs. catfish!!!  In the end, we had well more than 10 lbs. of fish fillets to take home.

I definitely recommend Owen for those looking to hook some very large fish in the DC area.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely fantastic time on our fishing trip with Captain Owen! From start to finish, he was an incredible guide knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly patient with us. He made the whole experience fun and relaxing, and we never felt rushed or out of our depth.
One of the highlights was how helpful he was after the trip he cleaned and filleted all of our fish for us, which made it super easy to take them home and enjoy. Our first fishing trip on July 4th with Captain Owen was absolutely amazing! He made the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. This trip was so much more than just fishing — Captain Owen went above and beyond. He even brought a picture book filled with historical stories and showed us landmarks along the Potomac River, giving us a glimpse into the past compared to how things look today.

It was a great way to explore the DC area from the water, especially for those who want to avoid the crowds and skip all the walking — such a fun and relaxing alternative!

Our morning trip was also a success — we caught plenty of catfish, with our biggest one weighing in at 14 lbs! We’re already looking forward to our next trip to try and beat that record.

The boat had everything we needed, making it super easy to just focus on fishing and having fun. Highly recommend!

My partner and I hired Owen to show us the ropes when it comes to fishing the Potomac, and we certainly got our money’s worth.  Owen is knowledgeable about fishing and the river, and he’s easy going and enjoyable to talk to.  Moreover, the boat is comfortable, and he came prepared on what turned out to be a chilly evening with extra jackets, blankets, and a heater.  (If you’re going out in hot weather, the boat is equipped with a large canopy.)  As for catching fish, we didn’t go more than 10 minutes, if that, without reeling in a good sized fish, and I actually caught the two largest fish of my life—one a 23lb catfish.  Owen offered to fillet them for us, but we opted to throw them back.  We will certainly recommend him to our family, friends, and neighbors!

My son is 8 and I wanted to spend quality time with him. Fishing was a great idea! Captain Owen was prompt and prepared with rods, tackle, and bait to catch catfish off up river in the Potomac.

We caught 8 fish in a 4 hour period, mostly 15-24 lbs! We kept the ones that were < 10 lbs and brought it home to eat.

He would cast the reels and let my son and I reel them in. He took pictures for us and taught us alot about fishing too. 10/10 would charter again.
