Book your next trip with Capital Blues Fishing Charters and experience a world-class Blue Catfish fishery right in our nation’s capital!

Trip hours can be customized—just ask! Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children sized life jackets are available upon request.

***Capital Blues is a fully legal, licensed, and insured Veteran-owned small business***

Your trip will be aboard a 18’ Sun Tracker pontoon boat with space for 6 passengers (please note: boat has a max of 800 pounds of passenger weight). It has everything you need for a productive day on the water as well as all required safety equipment and VHF radio. There’s a bucket-style toilet on board for your convenience, along with a 360 degree privacy screen.

Capt. Owen will provide rods, reels, bait, terminal tackle, and historical overview of the spots we will fish, complete with historic photos. Fish cleaning service is available- please discuss with the captain before your trip, if interested.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a DC fishing license for everyone in your group ages 16-64. This information is available online on the DC Government website, or you can ask the captain.

Plan to bring sunblock, hat/sunglasses, extra layers, rain gear, snacks, and any medications needed. There will be bottled water provided. Alcohol is not allowed.

Now’s the time to experience fishing in Washington DC for yourself, with Capital Blues Fishing Charters! For more useful info, check out our website with a Google search!
