Trip started out great. The First Mate Travis was great but Captain Brantley Galloway was very quite. We caught bait fish and then went out a way to fish. Caught a few then the Captain Galloway backed up to a boat and gave a box of our frozen bait away to another boat. Later in the morning we started running out of bait and the captain took us in circles to kill time because we had no bait. Very discouraged and would never book with this captain again.

I apologize that your expectations weren’t met. I knew catching live bait was going to be nearly impossible, following the passing of tropical storm Cindy the day before. With this in mind, I purchased a 40 lb box of frozen Boston mackerel for back up. We did not use nearly half of this bait, so sharing bait with another captain was not an issue as we gave them less than half of that box. Fishing the first day back on the water following a tropical storm on the gulf is always tough. However, if you felt that I was driving in circles, It would be because I was trying to locate fish for you to catch on a prime fishing location. Being an avid fisherman, I do not seek to waste time fishing in spots that are not productive. If you had made me aware of any issues you had during this trip, I would have made every effort to resolve them at that time.

My son, son-in-law and I shared our first charter boat fishing experience and could not have enjoyed it more.  All three of us snagged nice size fish and were assisted by a patient and helpful crew.  We would definitely recommend using Captain Brantley and first mate Travis.

Destin fishing trip

We showed up at the dock and our Captain Brantley Galloway was very nice and ready to go. He fired up the engines and we pulled out as soon as we were on board. I asked him about the money and he was quick to say don’t worry about that right now let’s go catch some fish. We went just outside the inlet and caught some bait fish and then headed out. My Son and Son in Law were with me and this was really their trip. We managed to hook up on some really good fish (not many but good size). We caught a Cobia, King Mackrel, and some Bonita. The water was rough but nobody got sick and we had a great time. Brantley and his first mate (Jordan) were both great and took care of us from start to finish.
Great time and I would highly recommend the Hiliner.

When your 15 year old son says “well at least we had a chance to talk” sums it up. A four hour trip and we had expected to do more than troll with 4 lines in the water for the five of us. We thought we would have bottom fished for red snapper and grouper and instead we trolled a short distance from the harbor.  The captain we had expected sent a replacement. The deckhand Jordan was awesome.

Charles, I do apologize for my absence.  However, sometimes I do have to have a day off.  We often run everyday within the summer months and it can be exhausting.
We would be happy to take you bottom fishing, however we do not bottom fish on our minimum 4 hr. Charters.
We offer bottom fishing, with 6 hr.  or longer charters.
I will make sure this is clarified on posted on this site.

Great day fishing for King Mack! 2 dads and 3 boys had a blast. Slow start but Captain Brantley had a secret spot. We were the only boat there. Landed 6 kings and one Spanish. Jordan was great with the kids. Tip him well!! Ended up with about 40 pounds of fillets. Nothing like fresh fried mackerel. This boat is Great value. Has lots of shade and a toilet. We Had a great trip and will repeat. These guys got the job done. You will not regret. They make sure you have a great trip. Book now!1

We we out with captain Brantley and 1st mate Jordan in June and had a great trip. They were friendly and had everything we would need. They let us pick what we wanted to fish for and quickly we caught what we came for. Everyone limited out with red snapper. We would highly recommend this charter and we look forward to coming back.

Captain and first mate were easy to work with and it was a great boat.  This was our first experience in Destin on a private charter and we were all REALLY impressed.  We had a great time and caught a bunch of King’s.
