I started guiding in Okla in ‘94, , then moved to Texas side and out of Little Mineral Marina. I know every method needed to catch fish, and use what works best at the time. Live Bait and artificial . I also enjoy trolling .

I will give you first hand times to book as I dont like fishing when times are tough here on Tecoma! Storms, baromeyric pressure control the bite! Guides work hard but cant make fish bite! If your into a boat ride! Its even too early for that! But two weeks should be game on! I promise to do my very best!!!!JD

I am here to advise you that water temps here at Lake Texoma are about 10 degrees off, what is needed to perfect results. You can testify after you learn when its too late! Every Guide works their best, some get lucky, and some poorly! Its not the best times but real close. Warmer weather is needed, winds lighten, then you experience best results! Bait is hard get now, the primary Food of the striper! Plan your trip, not by when you can be here, plan on about two weeks, and game on! Storms dont help.

This fun family stuck with me as I traveled east to wed searching for the elusive Striped Bass! We were at ine spot, tons , at fish! Haโ€™ fish, nothing! Then we took long run to another spot, Nothing! Water and hos temp 51, close to the 60 degrees when they turn o! I ask the group to stck their tounge at the fish! Great good of father and sons! They get a refish! About two weeks are sooner and its time, get it done! Book now in April! And Jcertsinly could be sooner! Thanks for even checking with JD of CrossCreek Guide Service! It is well known that most days you can get a limit on Texoma on every given day! Some days its ungiven, that why they call it fishing and not catching! In my opinon its most popular for its results if you have right guide at the right time! And place! A beautifil new boat dies not do anything but give you a comfortsble ride but doesnt necesssrily promise catching fish. With over 24 years I have the knowledge but remember if they dont bite, no one can guarsntee them biting! Or a limit. I try my very best regardless and lots my regular customers return because God gave ne a gift of gab, sense of humor. I work alone usually or team with 2-3 other guides for big trips! Fishing little slow because cold, but Spring they usually get a limit each trip! 10 fish per customer! Book nowโ€™

This is a photo in October 2024, taken where:which I hold annually in past 12 years of a โ€œsoldier free tripโ€ Operation Welcome Homeโ€! 20 soldiers meet for a weekend of fishing free! I get 5 other boats to help with it! Its March now and start of our season! Fishing early with cold is tough but man its better than most lakes! We are the Fishing Capital of the World! 10 fish per person, with only 2 over 20 inch per customer! Lake Texoma fishing license $12 is required!
