My husband and I were recommended Captain Conner to take us on a chartered fishing trip. Cpt Connor was early and had everything ready for us. He’s super friendly, easy to get along with, and very knowledgeable. The boat is very comfortable and as described. Conner knew the best places to fish and assisted us with bait and casting. He was descriptive of how to catch the fish and cheered us on. We had a blast catching speckled and white trout. Cpt Conner had a positive attitude and made sure to give us the best chance to catch fish. I highly recommend booking with him for family or friends. We have already spoken to him about going again in January. Side note-he was professional and made sure all our fish were of legal size. I appreciated his respect of the rules.

It was his first trip but, I know it will not be his last !!  Connor was the greatest Captain we could have ever hoped for.  He taught my grandson how to fish for the different species of fish we were after.  He took care of our every need and I would highly recommend him for your next fishing trip !

We had a great trip with Captain Connor! He was extremely prepared,  knowledgeable about the current conditions & fishing patterns, and knows where to put you on the fish. He took me and my 3 sons (ages 8, 11, 14) out for an AM trip, and we all caught multiple fish and had an amazing time.  He was patient, funny, and kind to my boys, and put a great deal of effort into showing them how to fish for the targeted species.  After filling the icebox, we ended up in a spot near a beach, and he even took the time to show my boys how to hunt for crabs on the beach.  (that is rare for a fishing captain, and shows his level of care). They loved it!  Overall, the trip was easily 10 of 10, and we can’t wait to go back out with Connor next time.

The captain at my request customized a trip to help my son get better results on his own. The captain,  who had just gotten off work, serving our community as a local fireman, was great. He has lived here and more importantly fished here his entire life. He was able to give my son invaluable lessons on how and where to fish in the area. My request forced the captain to leave his usual area and go where my son lives. When we arrived to that area there was a little wind and the boats were packed in the usual spot. He didn’t settle for pulling up beside everyone else,  he had enough experience to go to another honey hole and boy did it payoff. My son completed the inshore slam and I caught a personal best. We caught a boat load of fish catching nearly the legal limit on some species.  We had a great day and the captain provided everything we could possibly need to catch the biggest and best fish around. We will definitely be back on the Backyard Charters soon.

10/10 really doesn’t do this trip justice, it’s more like a 20/10! If you’re looking for a fishing charter I wouldn’t look any further- Backyard Charter is the way to go! We booked the 4 hr afternoon inland charter. We had so much fun! Captain Connor was very engaging and knew all the sweet spots for us to fish and boy did we fish!!! We caught a variety of beautiful (and delicious) fish. There was never a dull moment. Our group really really had a great time! So much so that we tried to book another trip for the next day : )
