This is our second time booking with Captain Don. He is knowledgeable and personable. He is also excellent with kids. Our first time was taking our son on his first fishing charter. He had a blast and was excited to return again. This time, he kept both of our kids(4 year old boy and 2 year old girl) actively involved the entire time. We all had a blast.

We booked our trip with Gulf Island Charters and Captain Don, and we were more than happy with our experience. My wife, two boys (5 and 2), and in-laws were looking for a fun fishing trip that was family friendly. This was the perfect trip for us! Captain Donald was excellent. His charter was knowledgeable about the all the things ocean and we had a blast. We got to see dolphins several times and up close, and we all caught several fish. Highly reccomend this trip with kids. Captain Don also made several reccomendations like ACME Oyster House which was amazing for dinner too. Thanks for the wonderful fishing trip it was a great addition to our Florida Bama vacation. A-1!

Great for those looking for a trip for kids. I wanted to try something like this before taking my son on a longer more intense trip to ensure he would be ok and I couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

If you have kids, then definitely go with Captain Don and Gulf Island Charters! Don was so patient with my son and took time to show him the basics of fishing and teach him about the fish we caught. And we caught a lot! It was personalized and much better for beginners/children than deep sea charters. We will definitely do this again during our next stay in Orange Beach!
