This is my second adventure with this boat.  I booked two half-day trips, one deep seas and the other bottom fishing.  Caught two very nice wahoo on the deep sea trip.  packed up 15# of steaks and had plenty left to leave with the crew.  Caught a number of small grouper on the second day.  no keepers but the line stayed tight for several hours.

I enjoyed my time with Capt. Kevin, Stephen and the almighty bait man Daniel.

I plan to go again when I am there next May.  Can’t get better service and hospitality from Leisa’s group.

My wife and I had a great time, Patrick and Dre really looked after us and knew their stuff.

We were disappointed with our trip. I’m a seasoned fisherman, and my girlfriend and I booked a 4 hour trolling trip, but our entire trip was only 1.5-2 hours. We let them know when booking that we were coming from a cruise ship that docked at 7 and they gave us a time of 8:30, then mentioned several times that it was our fault that we wouldn’t have the time we paid for, even though we could’ve come earlier. But the main reason seemed to be that they booked another charter right behind us and only had 1 boat. We were grateful to have the larger Mom’s therapy instead of Dad’s therapy, but we fished only 2 rods for a very short time and had zero bites.

The captain and first mate (mate is definitely still learning) were very nice people, but we feel they took advantage of how nice and patient we were and turned back without even asking us, knowing we probably wouldn’t be big complainers. They tried to make it seem like a favor that they would drive us to a beach for 5 minutes to see turtles, but weren’t even offered to swim. Leisa the owner, who is also very nice, asked us why we returned so early and we told her we weren’t given a choice. She was clearly upset with her crew because of the early return and said this isn’t how she runs her business. She told us that her usual captain and first mate had quit recently and these were new, so that could’ve been part of it, but it would’ve gone a long way to have even mentioned a partial refund or something similar.

She felt bad and wanted to give us a driving tour, but we asked to get back to the ship after a short drive. We were actually already onboard eating lunch when our trip should’ve technically ended. I think it could have been a good trip, but we feel we were taken advantage of for the amount of money we spent, plus $80 in taxis for 2 people, even though I have it in writing that it would be $20 total for the round trip. We want to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just a bad day for them, or a new crew, but we do not feel we got our moneys worth for a 4 hour fishing trip.
