Excellent day with Captain John and Mate Butch!! We took our 15, 13, and 11 yr old kids with us for an adventure at sea and it was a beautiful morning!! We extended our 3 hr trip to 4hr which was great for our kids but may have been too long for little ones. The boat was excellent, clean and fit all of us comfortably. We caught over 20 Spanish mackerel, 2 lizard fish, and 2 sharks!! We worked 4-5 lines at a time. The equipment was in great condition and clearly worked well!! Although there were some lulls we also had several times where multiple lines were popping at the same time. Reeling in a shark was the greatest thrill!

Capt. took us to a specific spot to catch mackerel. When they weren’t biting, he didn’t have or offered fishing for other types of fish. We catch less than 12 mackerel…all were really small. Upon returning to the dock I would have expected some form of compensation…discount on balance due…didn’t happen.  I’ll get compensation by informing others of this bad experience. I recommend firm negotiating before going out on any charter boat. Hard ass lesson to learn. This experience was nothing more than an experience ride around on the boat.

Captain John was amazing at talking me through the expectations and being available and knowledgeable to answer all of my questions before hand. The weather was looking questionable and he was prepared to be flexible and work around the storm front. Thankfully it ended up being absolutely beautiful at our planned outing. These fellas were so patient with our crew of newbies, and took amazing care of us! We were reeling in line after line just about as soon as we actually got out of the canal! We gained so much knowledge and were treated to so many awesome stories and **hidden content** on our trip.  Top notch team that is passionate, local and absolutely who you want to have guiding you through the Carolina beach waterways!  Couldn’t have been more pleased or had a more enjoyable time! We even got to feed a sea turtle in the canal at the end of our trip. We came home with a TON of fish and enjoyed some great fish tacos after the trip. Captain John and Butch are the real deal! We learned so much and can’t wait to go out with them again! Thank you fellas for making it an awesome birthday outing that we absolutely will never forget! Y’all were positively a delight!
