I have grown up in Florida my whole life and have always loved the outdoors and especially fishing. It all started when I was young fishing on the pier and eventually becoming a mate on a headboat working my way up for my captains license; to now having my own charter business taking clients fishing to get there trophy catch!
Techniques
Trolling is a go to specialty, but at get reel sportfishing we just love to fish with what is working best that week wether it be bottom fishing for snapper, trolling for pelagics or kite fishing for sailfish!

Througoht the month of April weโ€™ve seen a variety of species fishing offshore as well as inshore. Some of the species weโ€™ve been catching offshore are sailfish, blackfin tuna, wahoo and the lucky swordfish. Our main inshore species weโ€™ve been catching when it is too rough offshore are barracudas and jack crevalle. We accomadate just about eveybody wether its staying inshore with livebaits or heading offshore trolling and/or livebaiting for the pelagics and bottom fish!

Fishing is getting better and better, we had a nice cold front pushing a lot of fish through. We have had some of our best fishing using live bait for Sailfish, kingfish, and there has also been some mahi pushing through with the cold front. Sailfish bite has been hot the past week.

On this charter we took out a nice family and had a great trip. Started off the day trolling with little luck bug manged a bonita and a nice tuna. We dropped some bigger baits for an amberjack with no luck. Resorted to some bottom fishing for snapper and were able to find some vermillion snapper, and lane snapper. This time of year is great for live baiting for pelagic species such as sailfish, kingfish, tuna, wahoo and many other species.
