If you're going to cast a line in Fort Lauderdale, look no further than Get Reel Sportfishing. Your guide for the day is Captain Colton and/or Captain Hector, which allows you to benefit from years of local experience.

King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Bonito, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Get Reel also offers kite fishing.

Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. We provide water but you're welcome to bring snacks and any beverages you’d like! (No infants children 4+)

Your fishing machine for the day is a 36’ Palmetto center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), drinks, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Sunshine and good vibes

We had an amazing experience with Get Reel Fishing Charters! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and a ton of fun. Our captain, Colton, was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. He put us right on the fish and made sure we had a great time doing it. We ended up catching a Bonita, a barracuda, and even a kingfish—what a thrill! The boat was clean and well-equipped, and Colton went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and involved in the action.

Great day on the water

Went out today with Captain Roli. It was my nephew's first time out on a boat. We had a blast!!! My 11 year old nephew caught a huge black fin tuna. We also caught a bonita and a couple snapper. Unlike most boats I have been on, we had lines in the water within about 15 minutes of departing, which meant more time fishing than any charter I have been on. We will definitely be back and I would recommend them highly. Thank you guys so much!!!!

Colton and Hector went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience! We caught barracuda and bonitas — it was an absolute blast. We had our two boys with us, and they were amazing with them — super patient, helpful, and full of guidance. Both were incredibly professional and clearly passionate about what they do. If you’re looking to book a charter, these guys should be your top choice. We had an unforgettable time!

Fish of a lifetime despite unfavorable conditions

Despite the weather and sea conditions working against us, the captain was able to set us up to catch a trophy fish we will never forget. The captain and mate showed poise and patience when we hooked into something big on a light spinning reel with 25lb line. After a 30 minute fight, we were able to land and photograph a trophy sailfish. In our wildest dreams, we didn't expect to get hooked up with, let alone land, a fish of this caliber. Especially for the price of the charter. We will certainly look to book again in the future and reccomend any looking for an exciting, affordable fishing adventure to give this crew a shot.

Great fishing trip with my son

Tried kite fishing for the first time. Just when I thought I’d seen everything. It was an awesome day with an awesome crew. They also took the time to teach us a little about kite fishing. Just when it looked like we wouldn’t catch anything, we changed spots and caught 2 barracuda, 2 African Pompano, one Kingfish, and a Mutton snapper. Thanks for helping me share a father-son I will never forget.
