I moved to Cooper Landing 14 years ago and purchased Gwin's Lodge, fishing is very much part of the community, and is one of the main reasons I am even here. The Kenai River is a speacial place, especially this upper river and its origins as it flows out of Kenai Lake. Not only does this place boast some of the largest salmon runs in the world, but is also one of the best opportunities on earth for trophy wild run rainbows. Just sharing that with guests from around the world makes it even better. Come see us at Gwin's Lodge, not only do we offer excellent guided fishing, but can accommodate your stay at Gwin's Lodge. From comfy cabins, amazing food, a beer at the bar with guests and guides just getting off the river, the ultimate Upper Kenai river destination.

    Chris helped my mom and I land our first salmon despite the tough bite. He was very patient, actively helpful and a genuine dude.If you are looking for a fun trip for trout or are wanting to limit out on some beautiful salmon definitely would recommend.

    Our fishing guide Chris was super friendly and knowledgeable. He did his very best to find us the brst spotcto catch Salmon. He helped us clean the gosh and process it. He gave us great advice on what to do with our fish.
