    Wonderful Family Fishing Trip

    4 Hour Trip – Lake Wylie (PM) • 6 adults • 3 children

    We did the afternoon trip on Lake Wylie and it was a blast. We were 6 people total (3 adults and 3 kids) and Captain Chris hahdled everything with patience and ease. We started off trolling for catfish and caught two big blue catfish around 20-30 pounds each. The kids were beyond excited to see and touch such huge fish. My six year old son then nailed what we think was a giant flathead catfish around 50 pounds. It took him a long time to reel it up and it unfortunately broke off before we could see it. Better luck next time! We then switched it up by using live minnows to fish for crappie and white perch, catching countless fish of both species. Overall we had an awesome day of fishing on the lake. I’d highly recommend Captain Chris to anyone looking to fish the lake! This is especially true for families with kids, as he was terrific with our young ones!

    Amazing Trip!

    4 Hour Trip – Lake Wylie (PM) • 5 adults • 2 children

    I cannot say enough positive things about Captain Chris. We caught more fish than we could count and all 5 members of my family had a wonderful time. For my son's 12th birthday, my wife and I (as well as our 10 year old son and 17 year old daughter) went out on Lake Wylie to catch catfish. All of us caught a slew of catfish bigger than my 10 year old. Captain Chris educated us about fishing in the area and the lake in particular. He explained the best areas to catch fish and the best techniques to use to do so. He then took us out to the middle of the lake to catch white perch and crappie. Captain Chris is a genuinely nice man. He is very interested in all members of the charter being engaged and having a wonderful time on the water. He also gave a variety of recommendations for dinner. We drove 90 minutes (each way) to go on the water with Captain Chris and we would gladly do it again.     caught multiple large catfish lots of smaller perch. brought home plenty of fish to have fish fry for ten even after releasing several large catfish. captain Chris Nichols was very good and had us on fish early and often

    Chris is a great guy and a tremendously knowledgeable fishing guide. I have been on trip everywhere Chris is the best. He is a gentleman who treats his customers extremely well and you catch fish. I would recommend him to anyone in the charlotte area.

    3 Hour Trip – Lake Wylie (8 AM) • 4 adults

    Captain Chris was great. He was very knowledgable and patient with my two kids who had never been fishing before. Weather conditions were not optimal, but Captain Chris managed to find the fish regardless.

200 LB Cat Fish Plus 100 Perch Trip

Another ridiculous 3 hour trip with The Carolina Angler. We boated over 200 lbs of Cat Fish and 100 perch in just a 3 hour trip today. The bite was hot for Big Cats and loads of white perch all morning. All fish were released to fight again another day.

Summertime Cat Fish & Perch Smack Down

Another awesome morning fishing with the Carolina Angler. During a 3 hour trip, we boated 10 Blue Cats, 2 Flat Head Cats and 5 Channel Cats plus over 100 White perch. Not bad for a 3 hour trip on a day with a 110 Heat Index in Sept. All fish were released to fight again another day.

Another 200 lb Cat Fish Morning

The Driscoll Boys said they could shut down the bite on any Lake in the country but that was NOT the case today. We boated over 200 lbs of Cat Fish today on Lake Wylie with numerous Blue Cat Fish over 20 lbs pulled over the rail. We also caught a few channel cat fish and 2 elusive Flat Head Catfish plus 75 white perch during the 3 hour trip. BTW today was the HOTTEST day of the summer with heat indexes over 110 today so we cut the 4 hour trip short due to the heat.

100+ Fish Morning - WOW

This morning was a white perch trip and man did we catch a bunch of them. At the end of the trip, we had boated over 100+ perch and crappie even though the heat index was over 100 today. The temps and perch fishing are HOT on Lake Wylie right now.

Lake Wylie CATFISH Smack Down for my NY

Another great Cat fishing trip with the Carolina Angler on Lake Wylie. We boated a ton of Big Blue Catfish plus a few smaller channel cats and flat head catfish. Plus a ton of perch that we used for bait. Always glad to see my repeat customers from NY make the trip back to LKW to fish with me year after year.
