We “hit on Salmon” at all three locations Kyle was most attentive to our needs during trip..instructing us in the technique of “mooching” when attempting to catch FISH. He was most attentive in baiting and other Fishing services he provided to us during our trip. We “Limited Out” in 2 hours. Afternoon Salmon Charter • 2 adultsBooked this trip as an anniversary gift for my wife and I and let me just say, it was better than I could’ve ever imagined!! Captain Kyle was amazing and very knowledgeable about where the fish were located. Caught some huge salmon, and even some rock fish and dog fish but we threw those back of course (if only they were in season). Wife loved it so much she wants to book another one for next month! Thank you Captain Kyle for an amazing experience and anniversary and we definitely will be booking with you again very soon!!

Afternoon Salmon Charter • 3 adultsOur captain was absolutely outstanding, one of the best charters I've ever been on. he was very polite, professional, and made sure everybody had an entirely enjoyable day. Salmon fishing in Washington State state was on the bucket list of trips, and we had originally only planned on traveling that far one time. But only six hours after we hit the dock we are already planning another trip back for possibly next year.

Afternoon Salmon Charter • 1 adultCPT Kyle did a great job consistently putting us on fish. He was efficient, patient, and fun. Mooching for salmon was much more interactive than a traditional trolling tour and everyone on the boat caught fish. I’ll be booking another trip with Tengu Charters!

Tengu Derby

Last Saturday, I had a group of six awesome anglers on the boat for the Tengu Derby, and what a day it turned out to be! We started off a little slow, but once the bite turned on, it was game on. Before long, we were hooking into blackmouth (Chinook salmon) and the excitement never let up.
By the end of the day, we put four fish in the boat and completely dominated the derby, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Our top fish weighed in at an impressive 15 pounds, sealing the win and sweeping the derby pot.
The clients did an incredible job, and it was one of those special days on the water that you never forget. Great fishing, great people, and memories made to last a lifetime!

Pinks and coho season!

The pink salmon run is absolutely on fire right now, and we’re getting easy limits with nonstop action! Huge schools of pinks have flooded Puget Sound, and the bite has been hot from the start of the day through the tide swings. This year’s return is one of the biggest we’ve seen in recent seasons, and the fishing has been fast and fun for anglers of all experience levels.
We’ve been trolling small pink hoochies and spoons behind flashers, and the pinks are hammering them. These fish are stacked up in shallow water and chasing gear aggressively. Along with the pinks, we’re starting to see a few bright coho salmon show up in the mix, adding some bonus excitement and variety to the trips. With steady action and multiple hookups at once, it’s been one rod-bending moment after another.
We’re running daily charters during the peak of the pink season, and it’s a great time to get on the water. Whether you’re looking to fill the cooler or just enjoy a high-energy day of salmon fishing, we’ve got you covered. King Salmon Season Summary

The king salmon season kicked off strong, with anglers seeing consistent action and full limits on many trips. The current top fish on the leaderboard is a solid 18 pounds, 3 ounces, but the competition has been tight. Several other contenders have landed kings in the 11-13 pound range, making the leaderboard battle exciting early in the season. With plenty of fish in the 13-pound class and coho salmon also starting to show in better numbers and size, it’s shaping up to be an excellent summer for salmon fishing.

We had a great day on the water with three awesome anglers visiting from Texas! The morning started off a bit slow, but once the bite turned on, it didn’t let up. The action picked up quickly, and we ended the trip with full limits of beautiful coho salmon. The fish are getting bigger by the day, and the excitement is building for what’s shaping up to be an incredible season.

Coho Chaos! Limits All Around!

Fishing has been on fire the last few days, with limit after limit of coho salmon hitting the deck! We’ve had several incredible trips, including a full group of five anglers all limiting out with two coho per person. Another recent trip with a group of three also saw quick limits. The action has been fast, consistent, and a blast for everyone onboard.
Even better, the coho are getting bigger by the week. Each trip is bringing in nicer fish, with strong, healthy silvers putting up a solid fight. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic run this season, and we’re only expecting it to get better from here.
