Embark on an unforgettable adventure with Tengu Charters! Whether you're after Salmon or Lingcod, we offer expert-guided charters on the Puget Sound. Master the art of Mooching for Salmon and enjoy thrilling catches of Lingcod and all while learning from our skilled crew. Your perfect fishing trip starts here!

Mooching for salmon offers a more interactive experience, allowing customers to feel the excitement of actively hooking a fish. This technique involves casting out a line with a herring hooked to a leader and attached to a sinker. As the herring sinks and spins through the water, its movement mimics natural prey, drawing in the salmon and enticing them to bite.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.

We will be offering a prize (Free Afternoon Trip and +1 Guest) for who catches the biggest 'kept' salmon for the year. The free trip can be redeemed the following year.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 21' Grady-White center console with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and bait.

Keep in mind that salmon and lingcod may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.

Now's the time to experience fishing in Edmonds for yourself, with Tengu Charters!

Please let us know if you'd like to add a 5th fisher. Fishing Licenses are not included in the price.

What a blast!
Afternoon Salmon Charter on August 7, 20253 adults
Kyle took us out (my wife, son and myself). He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did some cast fishing for a while. Caught some dogfish. Then we moved to another location and did some trolling. When Kyle saw something on the line he would grab the fishing rod and pass it on to one of us and we would try to reel in the fish. We caught four good sized salmon, two were Chinook and two coho. My son got to reel in a huge Chinook salmon. We almost caught a fifth salmon but it got off right before Kyle could net it. Honestly, it would have still been fun even if we hadn't caught anything (maybe a little disappointing). We got some great pictures and saw some dolphins. Overall fantastic trip and Kyle was a great guide. Thanks Kyle!

6hr Combo Trip - Early July
Morning Salmon & CRAB Combo (Share) on July 10, 20254 adults
Did a 6hr combo trip, departing out of Edmonds. Even though we only got one keeper coho salmon, this trip was far from a letdown—because we limited out on crab and had a great time. We also hooked a king, rockfish, flounder, and several dogfish. Keep those reels moving to avoid those dogfish. There was a fast moving barge that sent a wave right into us, so consider packing extra socks and pants, especially if it's cold. Dramamine for those suceptible to seasickness, because the water could get choppy. It calmed down a lot as time went by, but every day will be different. Captain Kyle was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone in my party had a good experience. He was suggestive on techniques, and was open to switching things up. Super quick to respond to fixing bait and hooks for mooching. We ended up trolling for the last portion, where we got the coho. Coming home with a haul of fresh crab more than made up for the light salmon bite. If my guests are in town soon, I'll be booking with Tengu Charters again.

Kyle was an amazing captain…it was nice to have such a personalized experience with our group of 3 and Kyle. He showed us the ropes and during his "demo session" we even got a catch! We caught about 15 fish...including a 12 lb, 15 lb and 20 lb king salmon! HIGHLY recommend!!

Great day out on the water
Afternoon Salmon Charter on June 6, 20262 adults
My son and a friend had a great day with this charter. The captain was very knowledgeable, made sure that the gear, lines and bait were always ready. The weather was the only unpredictable factor, but despite that- fish were biting!
