The strong tides and colder weather has caused some lock jaw for the halibut but we still managed limits of striped bass. Conditions are improving for halibut so Iโ€™m optimistic. If you ever look up at the moon and itโ€™s showing less than half, that usually means good halibut fishing in the bay. When itโ€™s full, thatโ€™s no good.

This weekend was our first halibut trip of the season. We had a beautiful day on the water and went home with limits of halibut and one striped bass. We also caught 15 undersized halibut that kept us on our toes. There are two types of days on the water, good days and better days. When you experience action like this, there are plenty of good memories and stories to go around.
