Fishing was slow but we never were more than a few hundred yards from the boat launch from where we started which was probably to conserve fuel. I felt for $500 there could have been more of an effort to find fish even if it meant covering more water.

Blake only shouted out rules of, “don’t do this, don’t do that” the whole trip. He totally micro managed our trip. He kept saying, how expensive the gear was and don’t mess it up. Did we catch fish? Yes. Did Blake make it enjoyable, No! Find another guide to fish Lake Whitney.

Helen. Sorry to hear you did not recieve a better experience with me. From what I remember, your party was adamant about doing thier own thing. Typically I get this from time to time and I don’t mind as long as the clients respect the equipment and stay safe. Your party unfortunately breached many standard saftey protocols and continued to misuse equipment even after being asked not to do so. My goal is to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone. As a guide, everyone’s saftey is my responsibility. As far as equipment, I generally reuse equipment, so I do ask clients to use such equipment the right way to avoid unnecessary damage. Best of luck to you and your family on your next adventures. Tight lines.
