Captain Mike Delzingo has been fishing for four and a half decades. He's spent the past 33 years fishing saltwater right here in Boston harbor, learning the tricks of the trade and the taste of the local species. Captain Mike is also one of only a handful of local rod and reel commercial fishermen. Supplying fresh, local, sustainably caught seafood to restaurants and markets in the Boston area.
Captain Brad is a chip off the old block! On board since he was just 11 days old. Brad was born and raised fishing right here in Boston harbor. Fishing is in his veins. Winning or placing high in many local tournaments. At 16 years old he set the IGFA WORLD RECORD for a shark he caught just 30 miles from port. At 18 years old, he was one of the youngest licensed captains in Boston. Now 24 years old, he has started his own guide service and runs the Fishbucket during the week.
Captain Mike and Captain Brad will gladly show you the ropes and help you have a lot of fun on the blue waters of Boston.
Accepting all major forms of payment including PayPal, Venmo, Cash and Credit cards on board the boat, and we never charge extra for Boston pickup, because we are actually in Boston!
On each trip there is a first mate. The first mate works HARD. Both before, and after your trip, to make sure the boat is clean and all the gear is ready for use, plus help you throughout trip trip in any way needed to be successful.
*Please remember the first mate works ONLY FOR TIPS!
A 20% cash tip is not only customary, it's required!
If you can not or will not tip the mate at least 20%, or have the ability to calculate what 20% is, please don't book the trip. There are plenty of other charters without a full time first mate to choose from.

6 Hour Trip – Inshore (6AM) • 3 adultsBradley and Jason wereTerrible! They put me and my team on the fish before we could finish our coffee. It was endless torture reeling in striper after striper, as if that wasn't bad enough, after we filled our bag limit they took us jigging for Cod..That also was torture reeling in huge cod,macks etc. They wouldn't let us rest until we filled the Cod limit too. I'm not going to mention how they abandoned us at the docks with so much filleted fish to carry on our sore arms.

They were catching fish nonstop and couldn’t stop talking about what an amazing day they had. Everything exceeded their expectations—from the experience itself to the overall atmosphere. They had such a great time that they’re already planning booking again for next year. If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing trip, this is it. 4 Hour Trip – Inshore (1PM) • 4 adultsWe had an awesome time on the Fishbucket. Booked a four hour trip for Father’s Day. Captain Mike and First Mate Danny clearly know their fish, good spots, technique. We are mostly novices but they helped our whole family make sure everyone reeled in their own fish. We caught 5 stripers (one keeper) on an afternoon trip when our expectations for catching anything weren’t super high. But they made sure it happened. Great fun. Beautiful day out on the harbor. They took care of absolutely everything. Excellent trip!

6 Hour Trip – Inshore (6AM) • 5 adultsCaptain Brad and his deckhand Jason are the best charter staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of going out with. Was able to hookup with 26 total striper, all 30” plus, in a 6-hour morning charter— most ridiculous day of fishing we’ve ever had. Brad and Jason were professional, knowledgeable, and great to talk to. I’ll be going out in the harbor with Fishbucket exclusively going forward. Dont second guess it all— these are the guys to go out with!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (1PM) • 6 adultsWe had a great trip. Capt.Mike was great about keeping us moving to populated areas. Our first mate, Dan, was well skilled and knowledgeable about getting us set up with our rods and was very encouraging as we reeled in our fish(we all caught Stripers). I had my beau and my 18 and 20 year old sons on the trip. I know it’s a trip we’ll all remember. I’d do this trip again 10/10!
