Background: I have always loved fishing. I grew up in Ohio, fishing for Smallmouth Bass and Walleye. When I got older, I've spent 6 years as a U.S. Marine and fished in North Carolina and southern California. I moved to Islamorada in 1986 when my enlistment was over.
Techniques: I like to use light tackle when possible, However we need heavier gear for Grouper and bottom fish

We caught a couple tuna. Was loaded with sharks, they were eating our tuna before we could get them to the boat. Looked for Mahi but no luck. We saw a sailfish, very cool! Bottom fished for a bit and caught a vermillion snapper. Beautiful day and trip

Not a lot is success sport fishing after several hours of trolling we settled for some yellow tail snapper rather going away empty handed. Don’t recommend bringing the ladies they didn’t feel welcome on the boat.

gave him an extra hour, it was a slow day, but that happens. all you can do is try. I did not know the ladies were not happy. I tried to keep them involved. One caught a yellowtail snapper and one caught a mutton snapper. They had a trip the day before and caught Tuna’s. That was my original plan since they are easy right now. Nobody in my marina caught wahoo’s today and I told William it would be a long shot. So yes I did waste 2 hours but I told him up front.
