Captain Martin Carranza has been fly fishing all his life. His grandpa and dad took him fly fishing to the rivers of Patagonia, and he tested his skills all over the world, including the Caribbean and Europe. Martin is a USCG licensed captain and he's been running trips around Key Biscayne for over 20 years. Fishing has always been his biggest passion and today he's happy to share it with his customers.

3/4 Day Trip • 1 adultHad a fantastic flyfishing trip with Captain Martin showing me thes rope on how to hook into some submarine sized Tarpon. The captain provided great insight into salt water flyfishing and provded a mid-morning snack too. I learned alot on my 3/4 guided day out in Biscayne and enjoyed it immensely.

3/4 Day Trip • 1 adultDid a 3/4 day fly fishing trip in Biscayne Bay with Martin in late January. Had a fabulous and productive trip. Martin is easy to work with, patient with less than par casting skills and helpful with advice and teaching. He is tenacious about finding fish: I had a great day, catching baby tarpon and snook, but the bones were nowhere to be seen, largely a function of cooler and cloudy water. Martin is interesting to talk to and fun to spend a day in a skiff with. I will definitely book again.

3/4 Day Trip • 2 adultsMartin criticized everything we did, even when we did what he asked us to do. Not really an enjoyable trip with someone like that. Not mention all the bait we had died because the live well pump was broken (BTW another captain had to give us bait because Martin came unprepared for catching bait himself like the rest of the captains). I have been fly fishing all my life, and Martin criticized everything I did. Very unprofessional. My wife did not enjoy the time with Martin at all. We won’t be using him again.
Response from CaptainSorry you had a bad time, I tried to coach you to become a better caster and be able to put the fly in front of the tarpon we saw, sorry if you felt criticized, it was not my intention at all. Pump got clogged while fishing due to extreme sargassum in the bay.
