I'm Marlon Leslie, a second-generation saltwater fly fishing guide based in Placencia, Belize. I've spent the past two decades exploring every nook and cranny of the flats and barrier reef outside Placencia and Hopkins. My father, Charlie Leslie Sr., was one of Belize's first professional guides, and he taught me how to read the tides, adapt to moon phases, and poling the flats. Born and raised in Placencia, I've been chasing Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon since I could hold a rod. That early start gave me a deep appreciation for the sport and a commitment to conservation for future generations.

    Beautiful Day Fishing in Placencia

    Full Day Trip – Fly Fishing • 2 adults

    We had a great day fishing with Jason. He was super knowledgeable about the local waters and worked hard to put us on the fish. The bone fish were not cooperating early so we moved on to catch some Jacks and Snappers before going back to land some nice Bone Fish amd take some shots at Tarpon.Jason was very accommodating and patient with our group. We had a lot of fun and hughly recommend.

    Best Fly Fishing Guide Ever!

    Full Day Trip – Fly Fishing • 2 adults

    We didn’t really know much about Marlon when we booked him and man did we luck out! He took us to all the best spots to fish for Tarpon, Snook and Bonefish. I think my husband and I each caught ten fish! He is very knowledgeable and personable and even learned some new skills. Came back and booked him for two more trips! Highly recommend him!

    My wife and I had the best time fishing with Marlon. His energy, excitement, and laughter is contagious. He is a stellar guide and even better person. Knows the area so well and how to put you on fish even in tough conditions. Can’t wait to fish with him again.

    Captain was great. We had a very good time as first time fly fishing. The website as a communication tool is awful. The emails specifically say that you can reply to communicate, you cannot. You need to download the app. I, personally, don’t want yet another app for one of 10 excursions on my holiday.
