Great day if fishing!  Steady fish on the line catching King,  Tuna, Bonito and Baracuda. The mate did a great job keeping the lines in the water.  Will take the trip again on our next trip.

Great time had all around, and fish caught by everyone in the group! In just a half day trip we caught 4 King Mackerel and 1 barracuda (which was thrown back). After getting back to the dock they filleted the Mackerel for us, which we took to have cooked at Half Shell Raw Bar (highly recommend) and everyone was satisfied. Definitely recommend Captain Art and Brandy, they know where the fish bite and how to make the most of a trip! Thanks again!

First off, when I booked through Fishing Booker, I received a text message shortly thereafter straight from the Captain saying he wished I had booked directly with him and not through Fishing Booker. So that was a bad sign right off the bat. I should have heeded the warning and listened to my gut that was telling me this didn’t sound good.

We arrived at the dock right on time expecting to jump on the boat and take off shortly thereafter. The first mate was busy getting things ready to go. But, the boat wouldn’t start. Someone left a switch on the night before and it drained the battery. The Captain messed with it for a while then left to go get a battery charger. He was gone 20-30 minutes then came back with a charger and hooked it up. And we waited. And waited. And waited. He’d try the engines every so often, but it was a no go. All the other charter boats had left long ago.  Finally, two hours later, (yes, two hours….) they canceled and made arrangements on another boat. I have to say that was nice and our day of fishing wasn’t completely ruined. We did get to go out.

So we went down to the other boat a few slips away and the First Mate started getting everything set up while we waited on the Captain to arrive. He wasn’t expecting to go out that day so he had to scramble from home to the dock, which took a while and it wasn’t the Captain’s boat and the first time he’d ever been on that boat. It was a bigger boat than the one we booked with Wild Bill, and we caught some fish but missed the early bite. Overall, the boat not starting and the two hour delay while they tried to fix it was unacceptable.

I don’t recommend this charter and won’t book with Wild Bill again.

Mason and Art were fantastic!  Mason worked extremely hard all day on the lines to get us on the fish. Art never gave up in his pursuit at the wheel. Landed several big Barracudas trolling then went inland and landed a 25lb Jack and a 7’ Tiger Shark that drug us nearly a mile and through a mine field of crab traps for nearly an hour to finally land the fish of a lifetime!!!  We will be back next year…Thanks for the memories Art and Mason!

My husband and son had been on a similar trip in th gulf off shore Texas. This was my first deep sea/off shore we bay fish in Galveston and Trinity Bays monthly. I was a bit nervous. However first mate Derek made things interesting by talking about his expierences and the area. He taught us a lot.
Though not all our fish were keepers we had a lot of fighters we still caught enough to feed well over our family of three. Happy fishing!!!

My girlfriend and I booked a 3/4 day trip. Boat was not fancy but it had everything you need. It’s a “Fishing” boat. My girlfriend ended up napping on bench between bites. So she found it quite comfortable. The deck hand was awesome. Worked very hard. 5-6 lines in water at all times. Very impressed at their effort to stay on the fish. All around a very enjoyable trip. Thanks!

All fishing trips start with high hopes and usually end nothing like what you expected.  This trip was just that in the best way possible.  A good Captain with a hard working experienced mate yielded a good time, plenty of action,  lots of good fish and a wonderful experience.  This trip the fishing matched the Captain and Mates efforts ... extraordinary!!

Super excited about 1st private charter with my family and two friends. Booked half day Charter, boat was fine with comfortable seats ( which were needed) 1st mate Derrick hustled non stop to try and put us on Mahi. We never hooked anything and did not really see anything till 30 minutes left in trip on our way back in - we saw some small Mahi, which we paused to try and get spent about 10 minutes making a last ditch stand on not getting skunked. No luck we then came in quickly as the Capt had others waiting for the next charter. I don’t want to really complain - I think the effort was made but we didn’t bend one rod on anything. I thought maybe stopping at a reef once we realized the Mahi bite was not going to happen, so someone could have brought home something Mangrove snapper/Mutton snapper something? Would have been appropriate. $650 boat ride on a gorgeous day?

I understand the nature of fishing but when you come to the fishing capital of the world ( you just want a fish)!

Sorry, it happens sometimes. I did give you options of going for snapper and sharks before we left. You wanted to try offshore. No one feels worse about a slow day than me. As far as the Mahi that we saw at the end of the trip we threw live bait and Ballyhoo and everything to get those things to eat they were just not in a feeding mood though not much more I can say. Good Luck in future trips, Capt Art

WILD BILL Charter—————Captain Art and the First Mate Steve did a fantastic job under very poor weather conditions.  We caught Grouper, Yellow tail and a wild time catching Black Nose Sharks, that were caught and then released by Steve’s very capable bare hands. FIVE BIG STARS TO WILD BILL.  Sorry I do not have any photos.
