I have lived in Northeast Florida my entire life. I grew up in Jacksonville and my parents introduced me to fishing at a young age. A little over 13 years ago my family moved to St. Augustine. My wife and I have 4 children and I recently retired from a career in law enforcement. I enjoy any type of fishing, but find my biggest enjoyment comes from fishing offshore. However, what I enjoy just as much, if not more, is taking others fishing and teaching them to love what I have loved my entire life.

    Sometimes it's not the destination, it's the journey!

    4 Hour-PM Offshore (w/in 15 miles) • 2 adults

    My wife and I had came to St. Augustine to do several things, fishing was one of those things! We had a truly great time fishing with Captain Dave Hall. We caught a lot of small fish, which were not keepers- plenty of action just the same, but Captain Dave got us hooked up with a couple very nice king fish and a very good sea trout - after he filleted our catch we had approximately two gallon size freezer bags of fillets heading back to Kentucky to be guest for dinner! I am from the school of hunting is not always killing and fishing is not always catching! Sometimes you need to just get away from the crazy and simply LOOK around you- we had a great time, perfect weather, a very good Captain, a nice boat with air conditioning (when Captain Dave latched it back - great breeze!). All in all, a blessed day to enjoy God's creation and make a new friend. If you live in St. Augustine - you have an incredible place to call home - so many amazing things to see and do here.     Great offshore trip!

    We had an absolutely awesome fishing trip with Captain David! From the moment we left the dock, everything was smooth and professional. We headed offshore and were on the fish in no time—ended up filling the cooler with a great variety of catches. The boat was super clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable for the ride. Captain David clearly knows his stuff and made the entire experience fun, safe, and successful. Highly recommend booking a trip—you’re guaranteed a great time on the water and plenty of fish to show for it!

    Great trip

    Great captain very nice guy. If you book the 4 hour plan on a little longer the captain is not Great with time and he admits it. I think the captain baited my wife's hooks every time. Please use this charter if you come to st Augustine

    Captain David was fantastic! He is so kind and patient. We caught lots of fish and had a great time. I highly recommend him if you want a fun day of fishing.

What's biting with Hallinginfish Charters and Tours in St. Augustine

Although this is usually the wettest month of the year, it has some big rewards for anglers. Sailfish can be found balling bait just 25 miles offshore and flood tides inshore make for amazing sight fishing.
