If you're ready to start fishing in St. Augustine, book a trip with Hallinginfish Charters and Tours. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain David is prepared to put you on fish.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Black Drum, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Black Seabass, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and plenty more.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. David will bring you aboard a 22' Center console. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
