Background
Hi! I’m Captain Art Brown, born and raised on Sullivans Island, South Carolina. I’ve grown up in a family of fisherman. When I was young, my grandfather had the public fishing pier on Isle of Palms. I spent the majority of my free time fishing on that pier, the beach or in the creeks. When I was a teenager, I was given the opportunity to fish on a long liner. We targeted swordfish and tuna. Sometimes we would stay out up to two weeks at a time. After that, I started working on Charter Boats. We targeted Marlin sailfish, tuna, Wahoo, and mahi-mahi. I’ve been taking people fishing all my life. In 2023 inspired by my son Finn I decided to get a captains license. When he isn’t in school, he works on the boat as my first mate. We would love to take you fishing
Techniques
We mix it up depending on the season and species being targeted. Live bait is always the number one option. We also like to use a variety of artificial lures. Bottom fishing, trolling, free lining and float fishing are the majority of the techniques we use.

My in-laws and I went out with Capt. Art and had a great time. We did not go out the 30 miles originally planned due to weather...

Would highly recommend booking a trip with Capt Art of Island Boys Charters. He knows where the fish are and how to catch them....
