We had a great day on the water with Capt/ John.  John is a lifelong resident and comes from a fishing family here and he clearly knows his stuff.  From the start, we were hooking mackerel right and left.  We caught over 30 fish with about twenty keeper sized mackerel. I’ve been on guided trips before in my home state of Louisiana , but this was the best I’ve had. Myself and two friends from Colorado had chartered a trip with Captain John Callion . All the reviews I read were 100 percent true. The minute after anchored out, we were on fish. It lasted the entire time. John’s a very knowledgeable, born and raised fisherman with a world of patience. He got me and my 8 yo son on a ton of amber jacks, barracuda and lemon sharks .Just like I asked, he kept the fish catching at a max so my kid would have the best time, and he definitely did. Would highly recommend him to anyone down here looking for a great guide and person to be out on the water with.

Took our 28-year old daughter and her boyfriend on the four-hour morning excursion. The waters were pretty rough, but Captain John found where the fish were biting. I don’t believe there was a span of five minutes that at least one of us didn’t have a fish hooked. John was extremely personable as well as knowledgeable. Capt. Kept our lines tight the whole trip. Targeted multiple species and landed even the one we didn’t target. He had a plan for every variable that was thrown at him (weather, no bait, dying bait, etc.) and it was never a dull moment. Could have kept going with the captain all day. The half day went by so quickly and we appreciate his attention to detail and planning to make our trip absolutely worth it. Great Capt.
