Capt. John is a class act that knows how to put you on the fish!  His boat is designed with a great layout that has a place for everything and plenty of room to move around.  My two brothers and I had a great time with everyone catching tarpon on both days we fished with Capt John and appreciated his having bait on the boat ready to go when we left so no time was needed to go make bait before we started fishing.  We would not hesitate to fish again with Capt John!

My brother and I went with Callion charters on a 4 hour tarpon trip this morning and Captain John did NOT disappoint!! A **hidden content**, and a 120 pounder to the leader. High winds, less than desirable currents, and rain couldn’t stop the captain from working his butt off to keep us on the fish. I think he is trying to make a “Professional Vacationer” out of us! Of my 63 years, this was in the top ten experiences of my life!!!!!! This captain will make it happen.

Captain John got us on the fish quickly and kept us on all day.  In the morning we had 3 stops for targets: Yellow Jack, Barracuda and Bone. Got em all plus some other fish (snapper, Blue Runner).  No down time, lots of action.  In the afternoon we went for Tarpon and hooked up a bunch.  The sharks went after the Tarpon which was exciting to see.  John explains everything clearly and gives great direction; but he also lets you do the fishing.  Very nice, pleasant guy.  Pretty quiet (which I like)...tells you what you need to know and lets you get at it rather than just talking all day.  Fun to spend the day with him.  I look forward to fishing with John again.

We had such a great time on this charter. We had time in several different areas catching so many different types and sizes of fish-several different species of snapper, grouper, hogfish, triggerfish, barracuda, bonnet head shark, blackfin shark, & nurse shark, . We even caught our bait for the shark fishing. John was patient and had a great sense of humor while also being very chill and relaxed in personality. It was very obvious that he knows the waters very well. He filleted our fish for us and recommended a spot for us to have them cooked for lunch.

We had a blast with captain John this morning.  With in minutes of dropping anchor we were catching fish.  Some big Spanish mackerel.  A couple of puffer fish, and some blue runners.  We saw a big hammer head and lost a bull shark.  But caught a nurse shark and a nice reef shark. He was amazing with my daughter helping her catch fish and joking the whole time.  We caught fish the whole trip very little down time.  Would 110% recommend him to anyone.  We will fish with him again when we come back.
