Absolutely outstanding experience. Weather was a little challenging and the Captain and First Mate still got us on fish! Very technically competent, extremely personable, and tremendous ship. Highly Highly recommend this veteran owned bussiness. Since we live here, we will be going back to them repeatedly for all our future trips.

Rocky is a great guy and a great captain. 1st mate Carter really takes care of the fishermen. Great trip. Captain tried every trick in the book to get us on some fish 🐟. We will definitely book again.

This team offered fantastic customer service from the beginning of our trip until the very end, even extending our time a bit to ensure some successful catches. Captain and mates were very knowledgeable and professional, while giving a personal touch of comfort to make you feel right at home.  With a spacious open deck and an air conditioned cabin equipped with tv, seating, and table, this unit is PERFECT for the whole family! Who wants to sit shoulder to shoulder with other strangers when you could rent this baby for a group of up to 6 people and only have you and the crew on board? Will definitely be returning! 10/5 stars! Thank you Captain Rock and Crew! 💟

My boys and I had the pleasure of taking a quick, 2-hour evening charter on Big Dog. The Captain and Carter (our mate) were really cool, informative, and tried to show us the best time possible. We only landed one keeper and had a few pop off the line, but you can’t make the fish bite. Between the conversation, the ride, and the limited action we saw, all 4 of us came away satisfied and happy. Do I wish we caught more? Who doesn’t. But you don’t fish because you know you will catch something…you fished because you MAY land the big one. Maybe that will be next time, I don’t know. But I do know that if I’m fishing in Virginia Beach, when u land one it will be on the deck of the Big Dog. Good times.

Dustin and the crew were absolutely professional, knowledgeable and very personable during our trip . They made sure everyone was comfortable and they made sure they went above and beyond. Definitely worth the money and we’ll definitely be back.

The bite was terrible when we went out due to a storm the previous day but the captain was up front about it. they still tried some different stuff to get us on some bites. definitely would book them again!
