Absolutely outstanding experience. Weather was a little challenging and the Captain and First Mate still got us on fish! Very technically competent, extremely personable, and tremendous ship. Highly Highly recommend this veteran owned bussiness. Since we live here, we will be going back to them repeatedly for all our future trips.

Thank we really try to go above and beyond for everyone. Safety is number 1 and then boat readiness. I truly wish we could go out and catch a ton of fish every trip, but this is fishing not catching. We value everyone and know everyone has different needs. Again thank you

This team offered fantastic customer service from the beginning of our trip until the very end, even extending our time a bit to ensure some successful catches. Captain and mates were very knowledgeable and professional, while giving a personal touch of comfort to make you feel right at home. With a spacious open deck and an air conditioned cabin equipped with tv, seating, and table, this unit is PERFECT for the whole family! Who wants to sit shoulder to shoulder with other strangers when you could rent this baby for a group of up to 6 people and only have you and the crew on board? Will definitely be returning! 10/5 stars! Thank you Captain Rock and Crew! 💟

2 Hour Trip – Evening Ride on July 1, 2025 • 4 adults
My boys and I had the pleasure of taking a quick, 2-hour evening charter on Big Dog. The Captain and Carter (our mate) were really cool, informative, and tried to show us the best time possible. We only landed one keeper and had a few pop off the line, but you can’t make the fish bite. Between the conversation, the ride, and the limited action we saw, all 4 of us came away satisfied and happy. Do I wish we caught more? Who doesn’t. But you don’t fish because you know you will catch something…you fished because you MAY land the big one. Maybe that will be next time, I don’t know. But I do know that if I’m fishing in Virginia Beach, when u land one it will be on the deck of the Big Dog. Good times.

Great Day out trolling for Mackerel

My son and I were hosted by Captain Rock and his crew for a 4hr morning of fishing inshore. It was a fantastic trip!!’ We ended up catching 17 mackerel and Captain Rock and his crew went out of their way to ensure our enjoyment. Their knowledge and expertise really went a long way to provide the very best experience. I highly recommend!!

Awesome Family Trip

Spent the Morning with Captain Dustin Huber and crew and we had a blast. We also caught a bunch of fish. What an amazing time, crew was super friendly and helpful. He even let my son come up in the Captain chair and drive the boat. Was our first experience on a fishing charter but they definitely made it the experience of life time.
