This was the first time going in the ocean on a boat for my son, nephew, brother and myself. Also the first time fishing in the ocean for us. Although the fish were not biting for any boats today, we had a great time. Captain James and his first mate were awesome to talk to about fishing as well as any other topic that came up. It was a great day all around. I Would recommend Capt James to anyone and we will try to charter him again. Thanks

If you’re looking for a classic fishing boat with ample space to move around and the ability to take a break from the sun and a Captain and mate whose friendliness is exceeded only by their knowledge and experience, this is the boat for you.  We were enthralled by a glassy morning ocean which cooperated to yield enough sp mackerel for the 4 of us and some for the freezer.  When the fishing got a little slow, the skipper and mate never stopped trying all options to get us on to some fish.  Mate Ryan is a pleasure to chat with and a wizard with a filet knife.  Can’t wait to do this again with a longer trip.  Can’t imagine better company.

I’ve been doing offshore charters for 30+ years, this boat is one of the best I’ve been on. The boat is immaculate! Freshly rebuilt by the Captain and his attention to detail resulted in one awesome fishing vessel.

The vibe on the boat was great. Friendly captain and mate. They took the time to explain what we were doing and why. They were great with the kids. You can tell these guys really want you to have fun and learn about fishing.

Tackle was top notch, the boat was showroom clean and it was QUIET! You can carry on a conversation at full throttle without having to yell.

In summary, this is the cleanest boat I’ve been on. The captain and mate were extremely accommodating, informative, knowledgeable and they put us on the fish.

I’d highly recommend this boat as I intend to use these guys as my “go-to” for all future Carolina Beach charters.

Great trip.  Caught over 50 Spanish Mackerel.  Crew was professional and knowledgeable.  Everyone had a great time.
