- Background
- My name is Carl Cherry I was born and raised here on the gulf coast. I’m the owner and captain at Decked Out Sportfishing I hold a 1,600 ton upon oceans license. I was introduced to fishing at an early age an was immediately hooked, there’s just something about having that rod bowed up and fighting that fish. My passion and love for fishing only grew stronger and more addicting as I got older branching out trying new places , tactics for different species. I have 20 years of experience inshore and offshore fishing with a wide range background. I specialize in tuna, wahoo, dolphin, Marlin and swordfish for big game fishing. There’s also nothing like wading the shores and bayous of Chandeluer Islands chasing big speckle trout and redfish. I also have a great deal of passion for deep dropping, it’s just something that gets my blood flowing you just never know what’s going to come up. The mysteries of the deep is always exciting and the deep water fish just taste better in my opinion. They also freeze very well so you can save them goodies for later to share with your friends and family.
- Techniques
- live baiting, trolling, chunking, top water poppers, jigging, deep dropping for swordfish.
