I grew up fishing the Feather River in Northern California, where my passion for the water started at an early age. I moved to Alaska in 2022, and started salmon fishing the beautiful the Kenai Peninsula. I spent several seasons guiding for respected local outfits, gaining hands-on experience and learning the rivers inside and out. Today, I'm proud to run my own guide service—sharing the thrill of Alaska salmon fishing with others, one trip at a time.

Half Day Trip PM • 3 adultsHalf day fishing trip with on a September afternoon. We started off the day by catching about half dozen of pink salmons. Saw a bunch of wild lives including bald eagles and harbor seals. We ended the day by catching a giant silver salmon. The fish surprisingly took a bunch of line and it took a team effort for us to land this fish. It was awesome. It was an memorable day not only because of how what we were able to catch. Captain Seth showed us great hospitality. He was patient, down-to-earth and fun to be around. He gave us a “once in a life time” Alaska fishing experience. I highly recommend others to book a trip with Captain Seth if they get a chance to.

Half Day Trip PM • 5 adultsThe trip was a family event and well worth it. Seth was pleasant and conversational. He explained the equipment and how to fish clearly. Seth knows the river, has great spots. He was always ready with making certain our lines were ready and gave nice fishing instructions.

3/4 Day Trip - AM • 2 adultsSeth was a fantastic captain. He was very communicative before the trip and made sure we were fully prepared. We were able to bring our dog which was really fun. Even though it was super busy, Seth found us some beautiful spots that weren’t too crowded. Before we knew it, we were catchin! Seth’s coaching was great and our group of three ended up getting nine HUGE sockeye. Awesome trip. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Half Day Trip - 2:30 PM • 4 adultsDay two with Captain Seth on the Kasilof was insanity. Within minutes of getting set up we were off to the races with 3 of the 4 of us hooked up at the same time and it didn’t slow down until we had our limits. We had so much fun and at such a fast pace that even my daughter touched fish, something I haven’t been able to get her to do in 16 years. If you want to have fun and find fish, Seth is your guide!

Full Day Trip • 2 adultsWhen you go fishing in Alaska (or anywhere for that matter) you have to go ready to enjoy the chase and not just chase limits and trophys. We had a full day trip and we took our time, learned in environments that weren’t fast pace and Seth gave every single person the attention they needed while keeping a fire going and getting fish off hooks. We had limits but with a guide like this that was secondary. We will be back!

What's biting with Kenai Coldwater Fishing in Soldotna
Soldotna hosts the Kenai River Women's Classic in September each year to support habitat restoration and preservation, as well as to promote sustainable fishing practices. This is a great fundraising event and an awesome opportunity to enjoy fishing while supporting a great cause.
