If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Soldotna, we've got you covered with Kenai Coldwater Fishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Seth can tell you all about the local fishery.

Fishing both the Kenai and Kasilof you will often see him targeting Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and more, depending on when you go. You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Your adventure begins aboard a 21' Willie fishing boat that can carry up to 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, waders and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Bait is available when regulations allow.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. You can purchase on the ADF&G website - **hidden content**  Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring bottled water, snacks, sunglasses, warm socks and rain gear. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We will deliver you back to your vehicle after the trip!

Great Guide, Clever Salmon, and a Surprise Moose
Half Day Trip AM on June 13, 20262 adults1 child

Seth was great! Personable and great company. Almost caught a King Salmon, but now understand how clever they can be. A highlight was actually seeing a moose appear right on the bank that crossed the river. Would love to give it another go and would do a similar experience again. Highly recommend!

Response from Captain

Thank you. I'm so glad you had a good experience! They are clever!! We'll get 'em next time!

Loved the whole experience!
Full Day Trip on June 26, 20262 adults

Seth was great, easy to work with, and made everything as simple as possile for me, especially being my first time fishing. Both days were beautiful and we brought fish home.

Response from Captain

Thanks for the review. It was great to have you both out on the river for a few days! It was such a beautiful weekend!

Half Day Trip AM on June 11, 20262 adults

Seth is professional and personable. We shared lots of stories. Caught salmon and viewed lots of wildlife. Good for the soul. Recommend adding a drift boat experience to your bucket list.

Response from Captain

Thank you Fred for the kind review. I enjoyed having you guys in the boat. Lots of laughter! It was a fun day.
