It’s hard to write a great review when we caught one Bonita and no other bites. Especially when another boat comes in with 2 sails and a marlin. I thought the captain and mate were fine. Baits were changed often enough IMO. Boat was nice and enough room for 6 of us. Our family still enjoyed the day and I still tipped what I thought was generous.

I booked via fishbooker. No communication from the captain on my request to target just Dorado vs Marlin. We targeted both, but got skunked. I think the equipment was lacking, only used dead bait and squid lures, no live well, or flashers but the captain and first Mate were personable and made efforts. Christopher was eyes up the whole time, just no action. One strike, but that was it. It happens.

The crew of the Ariel was great. We did a 4 hour trip and the reels were kept busy thanks to the experienced crew. We caught 12 Makarels and had 3 filleted and brought back for a great ceviche at our resort

This trip was everything we wanted and more!
