Willy was so wonderful! He took us to multiple places in order to catch a variety of fish. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Belize and fishing. He was incredibly patient and wonderful company for the day. We caught dozens of snappers, makrel and trigger fish (which we threw back per Belizian regulations). When we finished he cleaned our fish and recommended we take it to Rum Dog for them to cook it and they did an amazing job. We also saw manatees which he patiently drove around until we all got to see them. truly a 10/10 experience. highly recommend. coukdnt have been happier.

Wilfred was an amazing captain and guide for our trip. this was my sons first time
fishing and Wilfred assisted with baiting and even gave some tips to help him cast better.  He took us to three spots where the fish were plentiful and we ended up with more than we could possibly eat ourselves.  On the way back he told us about San Pesro .  When we got back he cleaned the fish for us and our resort cooked it for a minimal charge.  Hubby said it was the best fish he had ever eaten in his entire life.  We were very happy with our experience and glad we could do business with an individual instead of a bigger company

We had a great day on the water with Willy.
He worked the boat into position several times for us to get the right current. Today was a bit windy but he found us some fish! He also gave us some fishing tips and some history about the island. Very knowledgeable.
We caught some snappers and about 3 mackerels on live sardines.
Then he stopped at an amazing little beach, crystal clear water, no people, no noise.
He made an amazing ceviche with one of the snappers that we caught.
Then he cooked us a very nice lunch:
grilled fish special sauce, rice and potatoes. Delicious.
But the snorkeling was even better. He used some fish heads to bring in the nurse sharks and rays! We saw lobster, lion fish, starfish, moray eel, and all of the typical reef fish. Willy swam down to show us all the interesting things.

We had such a successful first trip with Willie we booked him a second time. To begin our second trip we asked him to find manatees. Apparently Willie is not only a fish whisperer, but also a manatee whisperer. They were a thrill to see. As a lifelong resident of Ambergris Caye, Willie has the knowledge to take you where you need to go to land the fish you want to catch. He is infinitely patient and can help fishermen of any level improve their game. And, if you like to talk while you fish, he is great company. Thanks Willie.

Captain Willie was fantastic. He was timely and polite. He was helpful when he saw ways we improve our fishing. He took us to multiple spots and wanted us catching fish constantly, not settling with one spot if it was slow. We caught lots of fish, had a great time, and then Willie made one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Ceviche and fresh grilled fish on our own secret beach was awesome. We would absolutely go fishing with him again!
