Doug was a great guide and had us on the fish all day and he ever tossed a couple crab traps in the night before. While other boats around us weren’t too successful we were getting salmon steady. In the afternoon we went for Halibut and got two really quick. Captain Doug was wonderful for our party of grandparents, children, and grandchildren.  Everyone was able to catch and reel in a fish and we went home with a nice haul.  Doug even went the extra mile to set out crab traps for us the night before to increase our chances of getting enough crabs to keep.  I have gone on multiple fishing charters in the area and Salty Doug was THE BEST.

Doug was fantastic, he put us on the fish, he had good conversation, and was great with the kids. The boat is well equipped, and he is very knowledgeable. We would definitely return. Not only did we catch a bunch of salmon, we also saw orcas, sea lions, and porpoises. Overall a wonderful afternoon.

Doug was very knowledgeable and awesome with the kids.  He was also able to accommodate us and pick us up at the Fisherman’s Wharf in Victoria, which was very helpful and convenient for us during our stay in Victoria. Highly recommend

With over thirty years of salt water fishing experience, Doug is an excellent guide to put you on the Salmon and Halibut. His boat is capable of allowing you to fish in not so nice weather but hope your day is as nice as mine was.
