We left Westfield on a beautiful day on July 12th.  The lake was incredibly calm, but the day before a huge wind had come through.  Captain Rick said the fishing had been good but the “big blow” might have moved the fish around.  The boat has a great set up.  Two down-riggers, 4 lines out on dipsey divers, and six lines out at different depths on planer boards.  Spinners and worms on the down riggers and dipsey divers and lures on the planer boards.  The fishing started off a bit slow, 2 or 3 in the first hour.  After that, things really heated up and we were limited out on walleye by 10 or so.  The fish ranged from sandwich size two 4 over 28 inches.  The different set up were key, as if one thing wasn’t hitting, something else was.  As importantly, Captain Rick, Emily and his son were not only knowledgeable and kept us on fish, they were a ton of fun.  Would absolutely recommend!

Captain Rick and his team of professionals took us out for. Great experience!  We not only caught fish, we learned about the lake, the fish and techniques. Rick, Emily and Nathan were fantastic at their craft and made the trip a lot of fun. We’ll be eating fish for the next year!

Rick was a great captain and put us on fish immediately, thus he did his research ahead of time. The boat was well appointed and ready to go on our arrival and he met us on our arrival. Will be booking again in the future!

My two sons, Three grandsons, and I had a very successful walleye fishing trip with Captain Rick, First Mate Jack and Nathan. I would strongly recommend a trip with Captain Rick.
