Everyone is welcome aboard Westfield Charters Inc. for a fun-filled fishing experience. Discover Lake Erie's thrilling fishing opportunities aboard a boat especially-designed to cater to people with disabilities. A former volunteer, Captain Rick has years of experience when it comes to working with physically-challenged clients. He's calling all veterans, people with disabilities, and children aboard to learn all about Great Lakes fishing.
Explore the productive waters aboard a 30' Luhrs Alura downeast boat. There's plenty of seating space – in the cabin and out – for up to 6 guests. Take advantage of the fully-fitted cabin, complete with a toilet and kitchen, and make yourself at home in comfortable confines. Fitted with downriggers and a live bait well, she's a true fishing vessel. Your bait will be prepared before the trip, so you'll waste no time on the water.
Head up to 3 miles offshore and get ready for some thrilling fishing action. You'll troll with planer boards, with up to 10 lines in the water, giving everyone aboard the chance to fish at the same time. Battle it out with one another as you test your skills against the fish, and see who can reel in the most or the biggest. Walleye, Perch, and a range of Trout will be biting away at the end of your line, so get ready for an intense struggle to hook 'em aboard.
When you get back to shore, the crew will clean and prepare your catch for you to take home. During the day, make sure to bring plenty of snacks and drinks aboard to stay refreshed, along with a cooler or ice box to keep your catch fresh. Other than that, you're good to go. Our family had a blast on this fishing trip. Captain Rick and his crew Emily and Nate worked hard to make sure we had fun and made great memories. They explained to us everything they were doing and were great keeping the kids involved. They truly cared about our experience and made sure we hit our lint on walleye. We had a great day. 21 keepers! it was everything we had hoped for.
Captain Rick and his team were easy to work with and friendly throughout. From first communication to flesh out the details to the very end when picking up our cleaned and filleted catch up the day all had a pleasant disposition and positive attitude.
Captain Rick and Emily were both awesome. They made for a great day on the water. We had young kids and they made sure to take time and explain what to do. Just a great time Many thanks Randall
