Everyone is welcome aboard Westfield Charters Inc. for a fun-filled fishing experience. Discover Lake Erie's thrilling fishing opportunities aboard a boat especially-designed to cater to people with disabilities. A former volunteer, Captain Rick has years of experience when it comes to working with physically-challenged clients. He's calling all veterans, people with disabilities, and children aboard to learn all about Great Lakes fishing.
Explore the productive waters aboard a 30' Luhrs Alura downeast boat. There's plenty of seating space – in the cabin and out – for up to 6 guests. Take advantage of the fully-fitted cabin, complete with a toilet and kitchen, and make yourself at home in comfortable confines. Fitted with downriggers and a live bait well, she's a true fishing vessel. Your bait will be prepared before the trip, so you'll waste no time on the water.
Head up to 3 miles offshore and get ready for some thrilling fishing action. You'll troll with planer boards, with up to 10 lines in the water, giving everyone aboard the chance to fish at the same time. Battle it out with one another as you test your skills against the fish, and see who can reel in the most or the biggest. Walleye, Perch, and a range of Trout will be biting away at the end of your line, so get ready for an intense struggle to hook 'em aboard.
When you get back to shore, the crew will clean and prepare your catch for you to take home. During the day, make sure to bring plenty of snacks and drinks aboard to stay refreshed, along with a cooler or ice box to keep your catch fresh. Other than that, you're good to go. Half Day Trip (AM) on July 12, 2024 • 3 adultsWe left Westfield on a beautiful day on July 12th. The lake was incredibly calm, but the day before a huge wind had come through. Captain Rick said the fishing had been good but the "big blow" might have moved the fish around. The boat has a great set up. Two down-riggers, 4 lines out on dipsey divers, and six lines out at different depths on planer boards. Spinners and worms on the down riggers and dipsey divers and lures on the planer boards. The fishing started off a bit slow, 2 or 3 in the first hour. After that, things really heated up and we were limited out on walleye by 10 or so. The fish ranged from sandwich size two 4 over 28 inches. The different set up were key, as if one thing wasn't hitting, something else was. As importantly, Captain Rick, Emily and his son were not only knowledgeable and kept us on fish, they were a ton of fun. Would absolutely recommend!

Capt. Rick has an enormous heart. Having volunteered for veterans and people with disabilities for years, he also raised thousands of dollars for many charities. His other passion in life has always been fishing. Running charters for over 30 years now, he prides himself on proividing fishing trips for people with disabilities, along with children. He can't wait to welcome anyone aboard to use his electric reels and he's happy to lend a helping hand to anglers of any level.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
