Captain since 1986, I have been running SCUBA and fishing charters continuously since that time. I have been a Scuba diving instructor since 1985, I don't teach anymore, but still dive when I am not fishing! I absolutely love the marine life of the seas, I'm still fascinated by the diversity of it as well. My degree is in Biology so I naturally am drawn to the salt water and all its critters which reside and swim there.

5 Hour Trip • 5 adultsTim was very personable and and patient with my kids. He did a great job putting us on fish. Sharks stole a few from us but it was also fun to try and get them in. I would definitely recommend the Double Time and will use Tim again next time I’m in Destin. Thanks Tim.

5 Hour Trip • 4 adults • 2 childrenThe water was choppy and two of my mates got a little sea sick. It set us back a little bit but I have to hand it Captain Tim. He took that into consideration and knew just how to address it. The first few spots we tried were taken over by trigger fish. Then we struck gold... Over 30 red vermillion snappers! We ate well that evening. Thanks again Captain Tim for your patience...

5 Hour Trip • 4 adultsCaptain Tim was very upfront with us when we had bad weather the day of our fishing charter. Not only did we have storms, but the wind and gulf waters were too rough for deep sea fishing. Even though other charters had canceled for the day, he was willing to take us trolling near the shore and play it by ear. We ended up trolling for about 3 hours (we booked a 5 hour trip) and at that point Captain Tim said that the weather has cleared enough to try deep sea fishing. Unfortunately, 2 out of 4 in our group had already become sea sick due to our inexperience with being on boats and the rough waters. After a few minutes of debating, we decided to call it a day. We ended up going home with 18 spanish mackerel which Captain Tim fileted, de-boned and de-veined on the dock. Our count would be 20 but we lost 2 of them to a couple of sneaky dolphins. Overall we had an amazing first time fishing with Captain Tim- he taught us to drop and set the lure and watch the rod for a bite. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all things fish and water and went above and beyond to answer our questions and teach us how to fish. By the end of those 3 hours, we were fishing on our own even though we had little to NO prior fishing experience. We truly enjoyed our adventure even though it wasn't what we expected. We'll definitely be back next year!

Matt Y. brought his family out fishing for a 6 hour adventure and we reigned Victorious! I had to move him to a different day twice due to rough seas, and it wasnt calm the day we finally went, but it was the best say for sure and everyone did great! Matt caught a nice Red Grouper and a keeper Triggerfish as well! The fam caught a nice grade of Vermilion Snappers and a nice Knobbed Porgy, all very good eating fish. Matt even wrangled an Octopus up from the depths to be used as grouper bait at a later time. A great fishing adventure for Spring. Vacay!

Opening day of federal Red Snapper season and the fish didn’t disappoint! All anglers had their hands full with these beautiful, hard fighting fish! Even the younger anglers were very successful on this 5 hour charter!

Walt brought his fam out for a morning charter to catch some dinner and was met with great success! Jared, Caden and Jace all captured Vermilion Snappers and we kept about 30 for dinner. Thanks afain, Walt!

Big Snappers!

Ben and Debbie returned to fish on the mighty Double Time and we captured 3 different species of delicious snappers forthe table! Seas were fair and the bite was actually a little slow due to the snappers still being in roe, but I hit some special spots and we capitalized on some great dinner fare. Somehow we managed to stay away from the sharks ans dolphins as well. All in all the Red Snapper season is off to a good start here in the northern Gulf and the bait boat is packing good minnows every day so the customers can exercise the option to buy bait instead of spending the time to catch it, makes for more fishing time! This was a 5 hour charter which seems to fly by in an instant, but a very popular trip.

4 Hour Mingo Charter- Got 'Em!

Patti, Mona and Mr. Jerry came out to play with the fishes on Double Time and we captured some nice dinner for a short morning trip in the Gulf of Mexico. The ladies are always hard to best but even Jerry did well. Enjoy the fresh seafood, guys and gals!
