Happy Anniversary and Thanks for fishing with us! You have such a beautiful family! We always try to meet customers expectations. The trip that you choose for your group was probably the best trip to accommodate your family. The 5 hr fishing trip is for the not so experienced angler and gives you the opportunity to target a variety of species as stated in the bookings page that describes this particular trip, in which we did. We caught Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, king Mackerel, and Bonita. If your expectations were to catch limits of fish, a longer trip would have been better but as you stated you had some first time family members that have never been fishing. I also do understand that these trips have value to the customers no matter the hours they chose to be on the water. We always welcome the inexperienced and enjoy the opportunity to coach them and give them that awesome opportunity to catch fish. Every day we welcome customers, we always have the expectation of catching fish but sometimes the conditions may not be in the fishermen’s favor. When fishing a place where the fish are located and they bite we try to catch as many as possible until they quit biting or if the targeted species are too small to keep, we will move to another spot. Your group caught a lot of fish on your trip but due to federal regulations we were not able to keep some of the species (seasons or size limits).  Please remember when deciding your next fishing charter please state your expectations so the crew will know.
We run a lot of trips, some groups only want to catch and release, some only want enough for dinner and some want to fill the freezer in which we offer a variety of trips to hopefully fill those needs or expectations. Please remember these are fishing trips, not catching trips. Although we do expect the customers to catch fish on every trip in which y’all did.

To the new customers reading this review I assume the boat and crew did an outstanding job on customer service which is not the customers complaint and was given 5 stars. Only that they didn’t catch enough fish to meet their expectations. The trip that was chosen (5hr) is for the not so experienced angler that wants to catch enough for dinner or maybe eat throughout the week while staying at the condo. We always welcome the experienced anglers and families that have never been on the water wanting to experience their first time out on the on the Gulf of Mexico.
