Marty is just the nicest skipper you could ever meet. In spite of the really windy conditions with whitecaps and significant swells,he found some more sheltered spots and I took home some very nice trout. On Marty’s advice, I bought some lemon pepper and Alfoil. My wife and I are sitting recovering after a wonderful trout dinner,washed down with an excellent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc ( our motel has a barbecue).What a day !  if you visit Taupo, this the trip for you.

The trip is GREAT! Very lucky to get both rainbow and brown trouts, people at next table i restaurant were impressed by our big catch. Marty is super nice and experienced, with his boat clean and organised, full equipped.All you need is just booked his charter.

We booked the 5hr trip and had an absolute blast!! Marty is personable, easy to chat with, efficient, and knows his stuff!!! Since we booked the longer trip, we were able to go a ways down the lake and after a quick boat ride he got up set up!! Within 20 minutes of stopping we were into the Rainbows!! Marty was an excellent host for a great day on the lake. Downrigging and jigging for variety. He knew all the spots and led me to plenty of action. 5 lovely fish for the freezer (and several returned) conpleted a fantastic outing.

Marty was a fantastic Captain who made us feel welcomed and relaxed. We were two couples, and each of us were lucky enough to land at least two fish. What an awesome afternoon we had. Thanks heaps Marty.  We’ll definitely be back. Cheers.
