5 guys in town for a football game and our guide, Danny, put us right on the fish. He knew the spots and the technique and everyone caught fish. Communicated early and often to plan the trip as well. Great time enjoyed by the entire boat.

Cpt Danny is good company

Cpt. Danny was very good company, and we enjoyed visiting with him. The fish did not cooperate with us, so having a personable guide was a plus. I'm not the biggest fan of trolling, so when Cpt. Danny set us up to jig it was greatly appreciated. After jigging, he switched to trolling to try to hook the fish. He explained the equipment and the techniques we would be using and made sure we understood. He offered suggestions to help us fish more efficiently but was not intrusive at all. The only suggestion I would offer would be to have a back-up plan when the usual fishing is slow or the stripers aren't cooperating. I would have happily cast or jigged for another species. However, Hooked on Fishing is a good choice for a friendly, low pressure fishing trip. I do recommend them and would book with them again.

Outstanding Captain

Capt Xieng was outstanding! It was a tough day and Capt Xieng was able to put us on fish. He is very knowledgeable about fishing and knowing the lake. We caught largemouth bass, striper, white bass and crappies. Thank you Capt Xieng for a wonderful time. I will be booking again with Captain Xieng. TC

This was the first time fishing for striper, and rhe first time I have used a guide. He is very knowledgeable and puts you on the fish. All you have to do is set the hook and reel. We caught our limit plus a nice catfish. He fileted the fish an baged rhe catch for us.

First Striper Trip

Our guide was very knowledgeable about Beaver lake. We got on fish early and caught a 12 and a five pounder. We had never fished for large striped bass, and had a handful of strikes that we weren’t able to land. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
