Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea!
Your day begins aboard a 26' XPress center console with space for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Xieng or Juan will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

All you have to do is set the hook and reel. We caught our limit plus a nice catfish. He fileted the fish an baged rhe catch for us.

Full Day Trip on June 19, 2026 • 2 adultsCpt. Danny was very good company, and we enjoyed visiting with him. The fish did not cooperate with us, so having a personable guide was a plus. I'm not the biggest fan of trolling, so when Cpt. Danny set us up to jig it was greatly appreciated. After jigging, he switched to trolling to try to hook the fish. He explained the equipment and the techniques we would be using and made sure we understood. He offered suggestions to help us fish more efficiently but was not intrusive at all. The only suggestion I would offer would be to have a back-up plan when the usual fishing is slow or the stripers aren't cooperating. I would have happily cast or jigged for another species. However, Hooked on Fishing is a good choice for a friendly, low pressure fishing trip. I do recommend them and would book with them again.
